  • 142 | How to Eliminate the To-Do List and Get Things Done without Overwhelm
    Are you a list person? I personally love lists. I love writing all my tasks down, organizing the data, creating spreadsheets…I enjoy working with all types of lists. And the satisfaction of checking those boxes when something is completed? *chef’s kiss*I created a “normal” running to-do list for years and sometimes it was very effective because I was feeling motivated and cruised right through, checking things off all day and feeling really productive. However, on the days I wasn’t feeling super motivated, that list was like a dark cloud. It was daunting and it only got longer the longer I stared at it because I would continue adding to it any time I would think of something that needed to be done. Even though I kept hoping for the motivation to get started on it, sometimes it just felt too overwhelming because I felt like I was never going to have enough time to get it all done. It was really disheartening and made me feel lazy and stressed.Over the years, I realized I could shift things and do it differently. I hated feeling that way, so I found a different solution. I found a way to basically eliminate my generic to-do list and create a system to actually get things done, without having to wait for the motivation to tackle a big list of to-dos. Even my list-loving self loves this method of getting rid of the to-do list and I want to share it with you in case you are in the same boat! You don’t have to feel like you’re failing to keep up on all the things that need to be done - you might just need a better system to organize those tasks.Grab a paper and pen and let's get to it!Renae...
