Connacht made it five from five in the United Rugby Championship with a 21-14 win over Ospreys at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday.

Shamus Hurley Langton scored two with Matthew Devine scoring the third.

Leitir Mealláin's Thomas O'Toole will be in the ring on Friday week when he challenges for the WBA North American Boxing Association Super Middleweight Title in Medford, Massachusetts. 

Standing in his way is a top-class boxer in Jeremy Cullours who has a decent record of eight wins and two losses. 

O'Toole on the other hand, is unbeaten in fifteen professional fights and a win on the night will send him shooting up the World rankings. 

John caught up with Thomas at his training camp and they first spoke about Kevin Walsh's win over Michael Conlan as both are trained by the same guy in Marc Deluca.

Portumna professional Sam Murphy has had an excellent start to the Alps Tour.

He won the Ein Open, the first event of the Tour and is currently fourth in the Order of Merit as they prepare for the next event, the Villa Paradiso Alps Open, with the first round on the 9th of April at the Villa Paradiso Golf Club in Italy.

Sam has been in Spain preparing and he spoke to John Mulligan.

He started by saying that he could not have started the season any better.

This evening, the Ardilaun Hotel in Galway will play host to a celebration of Kickboxing as Black Dragon celebrates 30 years in existence. 

Founded by Pete Foley in 1996, the club has produced numerous champions at national, European and World level. 

Eighteen fights will take place with the headliner being the clash of Corey O'Malley and Mateusz Oleksiak from Poland. 

Corey has just returned from Thailand with his girlfriend (and well-known Black Dragon fighter) Giulia Comini with both fighters producing big wins in the Far East. 

They also had their flights cancelled due to the war in the Middle East. 

Corey spoke to John Mulligan about the night but started by talking about what happened in Thailand.

Mervue United chase a three-in-a-row of Connacht FA Boys under-18 Cup titles this Sunday (29th March 2026) when they meet Castlebar Celtic.

It's a repeat of the 2025 decider when Jack Kelly's goal gave the Galway team a 1-0 victory.

Leading up to the game, Mervue United assistant manager Steve Larkin has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly.
