Jack Carty has been speaking to Galway Bay FM Sport this afternoon following his announcement that he is to retire from professional rugby.
Connacht Rugby’s all-time record points scorer announced that he will retire at the end of the season.
Carty scored 1260 points across 231 appearances for the province, captained Connacht Rugby from 2022-2024, and earned 11 Ireland caps during his career, including 3 appearances at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Speaking to William Davies at today’s press conference ahead of Saturday’s meeting with the Ospreys, he said that he felt it was the right time to retire.
