Barry Moroney is the founder of ApexGolf, a newly launched AI-powered app combining golf practice and gym training into one adaptive weekly plan. He's also a 5.2 handicap golfer from Adare who self-funded ApexGolf entirely by himself.

This week I sat down with Patrick Keeling, the 2026 Flogas Irish Men's Amateur Open Champion, plays out of Roganstown, currently on a golf scholarship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
He flew home on a Monday, teed it up on a Thursday, shot a course record 62 on the Friday and holed the winning putt on Sunday afternoon. His name is now on a trophy alongside Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley. Then he drove straight to Portrush the next morning and finished top ten at the North of Ireland. Some week.

This week I sat down with someone whose work you've almost certainly seen, even if you didn't know his name at the time. Oisín Keniry is one of Ireland's finest sports photographers. Coming through the ranks, Oisín has since built a serious freelance career shooting golf at the very highest level. His images carry R&A and image credits, appear in national newspapers and international publications, and if you've ever stopped on a photograph from The Open, the Irish Open or an Amateur Championship and thought that's a serious shot, there's a very good chance Oisín was behind the camera.
But beyond the credentials, this is a conversation about craft, about passion and about what it really takes to build a career doing what you love.
