Dixie Edwards: When God Changes Your Plans Part 1

    04/08/2026 | 26 mins.
Dixie Edwards loved her life in Indiana. After receiving the Lord at 9 years old, she quickly began to thrive in church ministry. She married the heart throb of her church, Max Edwards, when she was only seventeen. They lived on a successful farm surrounded by family. Dixie looked forward to raising her three children there. However, God had different plans. Max began to feel an intense call on his life to serve the Lord. He began to pursue the call by taking a Bible correspondence course. Then he was asked to be the preacher of a church just outside the town she grew up in. Reluctantly, but willingly with an openness to hear the Lord and put His will first, Dixie complied, She had no idea the many adventures her life would take as God uprooted her and her family from their farm in Indiana to Brazil and then later to Mexico! If you have ever been afraid or reluctant to follow the path of God, then Dixie’s story is the one you need to hear! Her life will show you that following God’s lead is the best way to enjoy life!

Evelyn Rychner: Persevering Through the Impossible

    21/07/2026 | 26 mins.
What do you do when you feel called by God but you don’t have all the right requirements? Do you give up when the way seems daunting? Evelyn Rychner was faced that very dilemma. She was sure she was called to Ecuador, but she lacked a diploma and more schooling. After meeting those requirements she applied again and was again stymied by more requirements. However, being sure of God’s call on her life, Evelyn persevered. It was the perseverance that she learned in her pursuit of God’s call on her life that prepared her to persevere in Ecuador when she had to work with difficult people, face down bandits, and deal with dangerous superstitions, and resistance to the Gospel. As you listen to Evelyn’s story, be prepared to have your concept of what it is to persevere expanded!
