The Feast of the Chair of St Peter on Feb 22 celebrates a precious chair kept in St Peter's Basilica in Rome, and which tradition holds to have been used by St Peter himself. That chair is a precious relic of St Peter and as a symbol of Jesus entrusting supremacy in the Church to Peter and his successors. A meditation by Fr Gavan Jennings.
