Today I am happy to be joined by Andrew, also known as Warren Fish, to discuss Melded Mardu Monarchy, a Mardu color restricted cube, which as the name suggests, is very focused on meld cards and the monarchy mechanic. In this episode, we discuss how to implement monarchy in your cube without having it feel oppressive, how adding meld pairs can add some extra spice to your cube, why Andrew has chosen to not include ways to cheat creatures into play for less than five mana besides Kaalia, and much more! Today I am thrilled to be joined by Jane McKinney, the organizer of the Inland Northwest Cube Fest and also a co-host on the cube podcast Pack One Slick Ones, to discuss The Ball Pit, which is a rules change cube where players have to play all the cards they draft, is a desert cube, and most importantly, all cards can optionally be played face down as the card chromatic sphere. In this episode we discuss the gameplay tempo considerations for players when deciding whether to cast cards as a chromatic sphere, the synergies being able to cast cards as an MDFC chromatic sphere adds to the cube, and much more.
