The Misunderstood Messiah: Rethinking What It Means to Follow Jesus

    22/03/2026
What if you’ve been right about Jesus… but still completely wrong?

In this powerful sermon from the Gospel of Mark, we explore one of the most overlooked realities of the Christian faith: it’s possible to recognize Jesus as the Messiah—and still misunderstand Him completely.

The disciples did it. Peter did it. Even after declaring, “You are the Messiah,” they struggled to grasp what that truly meant.

    In this message, we unpack:

Why Jesus rebuked Peter with, “Get behind me, Satan”
How the disciples misunderstood the mission of Jesus
The tension between a conquering King and a suffering servant
Why misunderstanding Jesus leads to misunderstanding discipleship
What it really means to take up your cross and follow Him

Walking through key passages in Mark 8, Mark 9, and Mark 10, this sermon challenges modern believers to rethink assumptions about faith, suffering, humility, and what it truly means to follow Christ.

In a culture chasing status, comfort, and success, Jesus offers a radically different path, one marked by surrender, service, and sacrifice.

The Old Testament Was Pointing to Jesus All Along

    15/03/2026
The Old Testament is full of powerful moments that point forward to Jesus. In this message, we explore how the journey of Israel into the Promised Land foreshadows the ministry of Jesus, from the wilderness to the Jordan River, to Jericho, and ultimately toward Jerusalem and the cross.

Israel crossed the Jordan to take the land, but Jesus crossed the Jordan to give the Kingdom.

As we prepare for Easter, we see how the entire story of Scripture points to one hero—Jesus Christ.

    In this video, you'll discover:

How Joshua and Jesus share the same name: Yeshua (The Lord Saves)
Why Israel’s 40 years in the wilderness parallels Jesus’ 40 days of testing
The powerful symbolism of crossing the Jordan River
Why Jesus’ visit to Jericho transforms a battlefield into a place of healing
The surprising east-to-west pattern throughout the Bible

The Bible is a library written over 1600 years by dozens of authors, yet it tells one unified story of redemption.

    As Psalm 103:12 reminds us:
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."

Everything Just Changed… But God Didn’t

    08/03/2026
What happens when a church faces a major leadership transition? When trusted pastors step away, it can feel like everything has changed. In this sermon, we explore the powerful biblical transition from Moses to Joshua and discover a timeless truth: "God’s promise precedes and outlasts every servant."

Looking at passages from Deuteronomy 34, Joshua 1, and Joshua 3, we see how God prepares His people to move forward even when leadership changes. Israel stood before the overflowing Jordan River with an uncertain future, but God was already leading the way.

This message speaks to anyone navigating change, uncertainty, leadership transitions, or new seasons in life and ministry. Learn how to keep your eyes off the “Jordan Rivers” in front of you and fix them on the God who saves.

    Topics in this sermon include:
    • Leadership transition in the church
    • Trusting God in seasons of change
    • The calling of Joshua after Moses
    • Following God’s Word and presence
    • Faith, courage, and consecration in uncertain times

If you're facing a transition in life, ministry, or leadership, this message will encourage you to trust the God whose promises never fail.

Stand Firm Under Pressure | 1 Peter 5:6–14 (Lucas & Lisa Resignation)

    01/03/2026
How do you respond when life feels out of control?

In the final message of our series through 1 Peter, we examine Peter’s closing encouragement to believers living as exiles, people navigating fear, suffering, uncertainty, and spiritual opposition.

In 1 Peter 5:6–14, Peter calls the church to:

    • Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God
    • Cast your cares on Him because He cares for you
    • Be sober-minded and alert
    • Resist the devil, firm in the faith
    • Stand firm in the true grace of God

This message explores what it means to release control, trust God’s sovereignty, and endure suffering with hope. We unpack powerful imagery from the Greek text, how God restores, establishes, strengthens, and supports His people after suffering “a little while.”

    We also reflect on:

    Exile theology and Christian identity
Spiritual warfare and resisting the enemy
Shared suffering in the global church
God’s grace in seasons of transition
What it means to “stand firm”

This message also includes a personal announcement about a new season for our family and ministry.

If you’ve been walking through tension, fear, or uncertainty, this final message in 1 Peter is for you.

Shepherding God’s Flock: Biblical Leadership & Humility

    15/02/2026
In 1 Peter 5:1–5, Peter addresses the elders of the church directly, but this passage also speaks to all of us.

What does godly leadership look like?
    Not power.
    Not control.
    Not money.

Peter warns of three temptations leaders face:
    • Serving out of compulsion
    • Serving for financial gain
    • Lording authority over others

Instead, he points us to something radically different: humble, willing, eager service.

From the shared leadership of Moses in Numbers 11… To the establishment of elders in the New Testament church… To Jesus kneeling with a towel in John 13…

Biblical authority is modeled by a servant.

“And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” 1 Peter 5:4

Whether you’re an elder, a ministry leader, or simply part of the body of Christ, this call to humility belongs to all of us.
