wanted to give an update on how I'm entering Holy Week!

Day 1 of 7, breaking down the final words of Jesus on the cross as we walk through Holy Week leading up to Easter.

Palm Sunday is often treated like a celebration, but when you actually look at what’s happening in the Gospels, the moment is far more complex.
The crowd recognizes Jesus as king, but they misunderstand what kind of king He is. They shout “Hosanna,” lay down palm branches,and publicly welcome Him into Jerusalem, yet within days, everything shifts.
The question it leaves behind isn’t whether you would have been in the crowd. It’s whether your understanding of Jesus depends on what you expect Him to do.

There’s a phrase that keeps showing up everywhere lately: “Christian lifestyle.” and the more I hear it, the more I realize.. something about it is off because Christianity was never meant to be something you fit into your life. It was meant to take it over.

If you’ve ever felt like certain friendships leave you more distracted, more negative or just.. not closer to who you’re trying to become, this matters. Our society talks a lot about “boundaries” and “protecting your peace,” but rarely about the deeper question: are your friendships actually helping you grow in virtue.. or slowly pulling you into compromise? This is about being honest with the kind of influence your circle has on you and recognizing that relationships are never neutral, not about cutting people off or thinking you’re better than anyone. The people closest to you will either sharpen you or slowly shape you into something you never intended to become and if you’re serious about your faith, your life and the person you’re trying to be.. that’s not something you can afford to ignore.
