The New York Mets play their WILDEST game of the season, and pick up ANOTHER extra innings win, defeating the Washington Nationals 16-7.

This game had everything. The Mets were leading 5-3 in the 7th, but the Nats scored one in the 7th and one in the 8th off the Mets bullpen to tie it up. Luke Weaver was able to avoid the walk-off to force extras. And then the craziness began. 

In the 10th, the Mets were unable to score a run and Huascar Brazoban worked out of a bases loaded jam to force another frame. The 11th saw the Mets get a run across via a Marcus Semien sac-fly, but the Nats responded to tie the game. 

Then, in the 12th, the Mets put together a TEN run inning to blow the game wide open and extend their current winning streak to three.

They did it. The New York Mets made a comeback in the 9th, and walked it off in extras to beat the New York Yankees, 7-6. 

Down to their final out in the 9th inning, Tyrone Taylor delivered a game-tying, three-run home run to force the game into extras.

Devin Williams held the Yankees to a zero, and the Mets walked it off in the 10th via Carson Benge's second walk-off of the week. 

This game was full of miscues and blunders from the Mets, but this week they have shown the ability to fight back. And today was another example.
