Two outs away. The New York Mets were two outs away from snapping their losing streak. Instead, they lost in extras for their 11th straight loss. 

It was another rough day for the Mets offensively, as an MJ Melendez solo HR accounted for the only run. The Mets pitching was brilliant until the 9th inning, where Devin Williams served up up the game-tying hit to former Met Michael Conforto. 

In extras, the offense couldn't get a run across and that was it as the Cubs didn't need a hit to score Pete Crow-Armstrong to walk it off in the 10th. 

They have now tied the 2004 Mets with 11 straight losses. A day off tomorrow, with the Minnesota Twins in town for a three game series starting on Tuesday.
