Preferred Enemies - A Warhammer 40K Podcast

One of Games Workshop's stated goals is to bridge the gap between narrative and competitive play, and the Dominatus narrative deck is their first attempt to build that bridge. In this episode, we're going to dive into the deck and give our thoughts, along with Rob's experience with running and playing in a Dominatus league. Does the deck deliver a solid narrative experience? How well does it bring narrative and matched play together? Does it fix the issues with Crusade? How well does it handle narrative play ranging from a weekend event to a multi-month league? And what else can you do with it? Also, we discuss the July rules update, with what changes we expected, what changes we didn't, and our thoughts on the app as the primary rules distribution system.

It's finally here, fully playable, we've dipped our toes in, and the water is... interesting! That's right, 11th Edition is now released and we're 4 and a half (?) games in, and it's time to talk about our experiences so far. We now know what's in the box! The full contents of Armageddon have been revealed, and we have thoughts. In part one, we go through all the contents and discuss what's included, what's not included, the surprises, and which faction got the best minis (spoiler - it's the Orks). Then, in part two, we dig through the first week of Faction Focuses, look at the new detachments for 6 different armies, and see if we can figure out how much the edition is changing from the bits of info inside.
