Mark and Taylor discuss NO HOLDS BARRED (1989), the movie that was meant to showcase Hulk Hogan's acting chops and launch his career as Hollywood's new leading man.
Hulk stars as Rip, the mega-popular WWF champion who is fiercely loyal to the TV network he wrestles for. But a new evil dude (Kurt Fuller) takes over as head of a rival network, and he desperately wants to lure Rip so he can dominate TV ratings.
It's all very silly, so there's a lot to talk about. Injured costars, an inexplicable reference to IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT (1934), and the many bizarre lies that Hulk Hogan's told over the years.

Ep. 10 - The Good Son (1993)
Mark and Taylor are back from hiatus to discuss THE GOOD SON (1993), wherein the world's most bankable child star plays a cigarette-smoking, murderous psychopath.
The story follows a grieving young boy (Elijah Wood) who goes to visit his aunt and uncle's family while his father leaves the country on an urgent business trip. While there, he meets his cousin (Macaulay Culkin), who is definitely not evil personified.
Reviews read more like lists of grievances, with critics viscerally rejecting the movie and condemning any/all adults who allowed the involvement of children.
Ironically, the only adult who wanted Macaulay to be involved was his manager/father, who refused to sign the contract for HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK (1992) unless the studio agreed to cast him.
Three directors, two casts, a slew of producers, an absurd amount of rewrites and revisions, an unsuccessful intervention from John Hughes, and a 60-person crew left jobless at Christmastime. Worth it.

Ep. 9 - Street Fighter (1994)
Mark and Taylor discuss STREET FIGHTER (1994), a movie based on the video game series of the same name. This baffling piece of cinema starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, and Kylie Minogue currently sits at 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Capcom wanted a big action star for the role of Guile, so naturally, they wound up choosing all-American JCVD. Production was plagued by a terminal illness, an impending military coup, and a leading man who rarely showed up to the set. Ep. 8 - Spice World (1997)
Mark and Taylor discuss SPICE WORLD (1997), which currently sits at 35% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Spice Girls starred as fictionalized versions of themselves in a tongue-in-cheek, super-British mockumentary/fantasy/sci-fi that essentially serves as a 90-minute music video. Spicemania was running wild, and not even celebrities were immune. The script was rewritten on the fly to accomodate every famous face that wanted to be in it — including Elton John, Elvis Costello, and Gary Oldman. Everyone involved expected the movie to get bad reviews — and it did — but it inspired a scathing vitrolic rant from Roger Ebert in a notable departure from his usual diplomatic style.
