ACID FOR SQUARES

On this episode of the Acid For Squares podcast, hosts Tanya Dahl and Cody Blue are joined by David Trotter, a former pastor turned trance channel and CEO of Awakened Magazine. After years of building and leading successful churches, David walked away from the world that had defined his life and began exploring the very spiritual practices he had once been taught to condemn.

Growing up in an evangelical Christian family, David eventually followed his faith into ministry, becoming a successful pastor and helping lead multiple churches. What began as a calling and a blessing, however, gradually became a prison. Eventually, David left the church and embarked on a journey to explore his faith outside the confines of organized religion, experimenting with the spiritual modalities he once condemned, including meditation, breathwork, past-life regression, plant medicine ceremonies, and other practices that had previously been forbidden.

Everything changed after an experience with 5-MeO-DMT, when David says two unseen spiritual beings began communicating with him from beyond the veil. Over time, what started as communication with these presences transformed into something far stranger: they began communicating through him. David found himself entering trance states and eventually embracing an identity he never expected: that of a full-bodied trance channel. Then, according to David, a third presence stepped forward: the Christ.

After spending the last several years developing his channeling practice largely in private, David is now stepping out of the underground to share his experiences with the world. The episode culminates with David entering his channeled state, and all of the recording equipment stopping working. When everything finally comes back online, David enters the trance state once again and delivers a message from his “two unseen friends” as well as “the Christ" that takes Tanya and Cody from shock to laughter to tears.

This is an episode about faith and doubt, forbidden doors, altered states, spiritual rebellion, and what can happen when the beliefs that once defined your reality begin to dissolve.

On this episode of the Acid For Squares podcast, hosts Tanya Dahl and Cody Blue sit down with Sarah Elkhaldy, aka The Alchemist, a mystic, spiritual teacher, author, and internationally recognized voice in contemporary esotericism. Her path began with formal study of the Fourth Way tradition, but years later, during a powerful plant medicine ceremony, she underwent what she describes as an apotheosis experience. Suddenly, teachings she had accumulated throughout her life no longer felt like separate ideas. They converged into a single understanding of consciousness, existence, and the architecture of reality.

From there, the conversation ventures deep into the paradoxes of Hermetic mysticism and Gnostic philosophy, including one of the most unsettling questions at the heart of esoteric thought: What if the reality we experience is "a negative simulation"? Sarah explores how this idea relates to The Law of One, polarity, non-duality, and the possibility that what we perceive as darkness may serve a purpose within the evolution of consciousness. The conversation also turns to UFO and UAP disclosure, the difference between positive disclosure and psyop disclosure, the manipulated government narratives surrounding non-human intelligence, and whether humanity is being prepared for something much larger than the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Sarah proposes that the instability unfolding across the world represents a collective dark night of the soul, a necessary confrontation with the shadow before an entirely new paradigm can emerge. But this raises an even stranger possibility. If positively oriented higher-dimensional beings revealed themselves to humanity right now, would we actually recognize them as good? Sarah argues that a civilization still conditioned to perceive reality through opposites such as good and evil, light and dark, and self and other may be incapable of accurately perceiving an intelligence that exists beyond those divisions. What appears frightening or incomprehensible from one level of consciousness may look entirely different from another.

This episode is a journey into spiritual awakening, Hermeticism, Gnosticism, The Law of One, UFO disclosure, plant medicine, higher dimensional intelligence, non-duality, and the possibility that humanity’s current crisis is not the end of something, but the painful birth of a new paradigm.
