During his 13 years at the club, Grobbelaar made over 600 appearances and won numerous honours, including six First Division titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups, and one European Cup. His combination of spectacular saves and unpredictable style made him a cult hero among fans. Hamann's most iconic contribution came in the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final against AC Milan, where his introduction at halftime helped Liverpool mount a historic comeback from 3-0 down to win on penalties.
