Send your thoughts, feelings, opinions and suggestions to 0892096423!The government is rolling out free hot lunch to primary schools across the country, which should be a really good thing. And it is, in theory. Unfortunately, though, the food on offer isn't always up to snuff, with lots of it falling into the ultraprocessed food category. Oh and also, the packaging is single use. Plus, there's no one with any health or food expertise managing the rollout. Annnnnd it's leading to lots of food waste which is seriously bad for the environment as well as a waste of money. So what went wrong, and how can it be fixed? I spoke to food policy expert Ruth Hegarty, who had lots to say on the matter. To support the podcast and access bonus episodes (including my brand new monthly tv/movies/whatever you're having yourself episode with Emer McLysaght) join our community on Patreon.Theme Song: HowDoILook, Pillow Queens Hosted on Acast. Catch Up with Killian Sundermann
Send your thoughts, feelings, opinions and suggestions to 0892096423!Killian Sundermann is a gas and decent man who started making me laugh with his Instagram sketches during the pandemic and is now a legitimate multi-hyphenate. He's podcasting with the Young Hot Guys podcast, doing sketches on tv in No Worries if Not and about to embark on his first national stand-up tour. I really enjoyed catching up with him this week, and hope you enjoy the listen too!To support the podcast and access bonus episodes (including my brand new monthly tv/movies/whatever you're having yourself episode with Emer) join our community on Patreon.Theme Song: HowDoILook, Pillow Queens Hosted on Acast. Entertainment Catch-Up: The Golden Globes, The Vivienne and Meghan Markle's Lifestyle Show
Send your thoughts, feelings, opinions and suggestions to 0892096423!My friends, I'm sorry to say there are some audio issues with this episode. As I mentioned on Monday I've ordered a replacement sound card but it unfortunately didn't arrive on time for today. The majority of the episode is fine, but in a few places there are minor snippets missing, nothing which will stop you from following the conversation though. Cian Sullivan joined me this week to discuss the entertainment news. I'm so glad awards season has started again! To support the podcast and access bonus episodes (including my brand new monthly tv/movies/whatever you're having yourself episode with Emer) join our community on Patreon.Theme Song: HowDoILook, Pillow Queens Hosted on Acast.
