Antiques have never been this popular and this September 26th and 27th, The Great Antiques Fair makes its debut at the magnificent Larchfield Estate, an elegant setting for antiques lovers, collectors and interiors enthusiasts alike. We chat to Joanne McErlain and Lynne McCabe, the organisers of the event, to learn how they brought this fair together, why they chose Larchfield House as the venue, and their personal advice on how to shop vintage. For those with a passion for interiors, the fair offers a rare opportunity to source pieces with genuine provenance and personality, the kind that bring depth, history and soul to a home. But there is plenty to tempt beyond the home too, with an eclectic mix of jewellery, fashion, textiles and accessories offering something for collectors, design lovers and those simply looking for something special. A programme of workshops and talks will also run alongside the fair with Lynne and Jenny Bond Interiors, offering visitors the chance to hear from industry experts, explore collecting and styling ideas, and find inspiration for living beautifully with antiques.

Annie from Merchant’s House opens their doors for us to take a peak inside this beautiful Georgian property located in the city centre of Derry/Londonderry. Built in 1867, this boutique guest accommodation has many of its original period features such as marble fireplaces and ornate cornicing details and has been recently redecorated throughout. Offering 9 en-suite rooms and a separate 2-bedroom apartment in the basement, tour this house with us as we learn more about Annie’s design process behind decorating the place.
