Metro Matters

Before the tunnel boring machine arrives, there's plenty of groundwork to do first. Catherine Sturgeon, Head of Enabling Works for MetroLink, joins Metro Matters to explain what needs to happen before major construction starts.
Catherine discusses what people can expect as works begin, how archaeological discovery will be one of the early opportunities for MetroLink, and what the legacy of MetroLink could be.

MetroLink is more than a railway, it can shape how Dublin evolves over the coming decades. This week on Metro Matters, George McInulty, Metrolink's Director of Operations, sits down with host Eoin Murphy to discuss how MetroLink can unlock housing, ease congestion, drive social inclusion, and connect the country with an integrated transport network.

Michael Flynn, Interim Programme Director of MetroLink, joins Metro Matters to discuss a major milestone for the MetroLink project as it receives government approval to move to the detailed tender stage.
Hosted by Eoin Murphy, MetroLink's Director of Communications, they discuss this approval stage, known as Approval Gate 2, they break down the numbers behind Ireland's largest ever business case, and explore the impact MetroLink will have on Dublin and Ireland as a whole.

In the debut episode of Metro Matters, Lorcan O'Connor, CEO of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), joins host Eoin Murphy to explore how MetroLink will revolutionise public transport and to discuss the impact it will have on Ireland as a whole.
