  • Wedding Planners R Us
Text us here! Hershall, you read it correctly, we are really having an episode of Pod'N Me dedicated to wedding planning... We talked some things weddings today button all. We have to talk about some other stuff in the process but the weeding conversation was for good reason. One of our own, ole Gen Z Boy got a fiancé (big word for espousal), so we felt it necessary to discuss weddings. We even got a video of the episode that you can see for a small fee on our support link (the one in the show description that says "support the show" yeah, that one. Anyhow we want you to experience all the joys of our discussion and Enjoy! Support the showConnect with us at https://www.podnme.org/https://youtube.com/@devinbirdsongEmail devin@podnme.orgFollow us on Instagram @podn_mePersonalities on Pod'N MePastor: Devin BirdsongDeacon: Dustin WakleySongleader: Brad CottrellHershall: Jud IngramNews Anchor, Dink Burbank: Josh SmithGen Z Boy: Brooks Birdsong

  • Pod'N Me Carnivals & Ministry Instructions
Text us here! Hershall, I know that the title seems to not go together at all, but what does go together in this world? Even here on the trash-cast it seems like we can seamlessly make thing flow together... or not. The boys (Songleader Brad, Deacon Dustin, and Gen Z Boy Brooks) suggested that we do another lucrative scheme (two big words in a row) to get more money from the podcast. A carnival was brought up and I will let you find out how that was included in the show. Speaking of lucre, we had some convicting ministry advice that I had a difficult time handling. Of course, the boys had plkeanty to offer when it came to that as well. If you want to see the video of this episode and a few others, it is available on our support link. Just run on over to Patreon and check it out. There is a free video and if you like what you see, feel free to join the premium content portion of the program. • Antique Cars and Blowin' Smoke
Text us here! Hersh, it is a privilege for us to be back with you, as always. We had a reluctance on the show today concerning the topic of antique cars. Then we went down memory lane with our song selection which is where the smoke comes in. We also had a wonderful story about Brooks collecting money from our beloved Deacon. All in all it was a wonderful time here on the trash-cast. Take a listen and if you want to see the video of this episode it is available on our Patreon page (touch that "Support the Show" link and see the possibilities). Speaking (or typing) of Patreon, a big ole heartfelt thank you to all the folks who have joined and we have plans to add more and more content on a monthly basis. We already have 16+ hours of extra content, plus many pictures and videos. Now you can enjoy some of the weekly episodes on video...  Enjoy! Support the showConnect with us at https://www.podnme.org/https://youtube.com/@devinbirdsongEmail devin@podnme.orgFollow us on Instagram @podn_mePersonalities on Pod'N MePastor: Devin BirdsongDeacon: Dustin WakleySongleader: Brad CottrellHershall: Jud IngramNews Anchor, Dink Burbank: Josh SmithGen Z Boy: Brooks Birdsong

  • Dustin Saves the Earth!
Text us here! Hershall, we are glad to be back with flying colors (an old adage-big word for old saying) and they guys were hitting on all cylinders (another adage) today. Well, that is all but our beloved Deacon, Dustin Wakley. As you know he has made some personal changes over the last almost 5 years that we have been recording these episodes (in a more shall we type, unsettling direction). He was the one that came out hard against animal rights when it pertains to housing and such and then took an about face (military adage) when a precious pet found herself in the clutches of his pool cover. Today he made another big change. He let us know during a recently made popular segment that he is setting out to save the Earth... Songleader Brad gave him the title of CSO (a title known as Chief Sustainability Officer) here on the show. I think you will be aghast (big word for shocked beyond belief at the way he chose to save our great planet, but it is undeniable that he is doing just that! Other things that happened today was Brooks had a real struggle reading agin so there's that. I can't recall every thing else but really why should I have to? this is only supposed to be a brief description of the show so you will go listen to it yourself. I am really overworking myself here but I do what I can for you, Hersh. In the end we talked about the false premise that the prosperity gospel puts forward that we should give to God to get something in return. That was how the show ended... • Trash Music and Descriptions of Josh Smith
Text us here! Hershall, we had a wild ride today on the podcast... I said we because I (the boss) joined the show toward the end, fresh off of the ER visit we talked about last week. (We record every two weeks so this week's episode actually happened last week. I know it's crazy huh?) The guys started out with a strictly forbidden song and believe me, if I would've been running the program it would've never happened. That started a downward spiral into horrendous songs and that really never got better until Josh Smith redeemed us with a "Name that Tune" segment. Speaking of Josh, we had a listener who has never met Rev. Josh express their desire to do so and went on to describe what his voice sounds like he would look like (read that several times slowly to see if it makes sense). It was one of the best descriptions and it got some mileage. IN the process we found out Bro. Josh plays a mean (and fast) game of basketball. We also found out that Deacon Dustin cuts his own hair every few days and so much more. I joined at the end of the episode to tell my side of the recent wreck where God spared my life, for which I and forever grateful! About Pod'N Me

This is a weekly podcast with me, my mic, and my friends. We call our weekly segments a Pod’n Meetin’ and it is released on midweek service day... Wednesday. I also do interviews that are released once a month or whenever I can get them released with some of the wonderful folks I’ve met over the years. I have no huge ambitions with this other than to share a story and hopefully have a laugh along the way. I am a pastor and was raised in a pastor's home. I've had the high honor of meeting some special folks along the way. It's my desire to have some meaningful conversations and give hope to someone who needs it. Hershall is my one listener! God bless!
