Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” and the Masterpiece of Deception

This week a YouTube ad stopped me cold. Steven Spielberg’s new film, Disclosure Day, is built around a single premise: the day the whole world is finally “shown” that we are not alone—and it’s releasing into the exact season real “disclosure” is being staged in our headlines and our hearing rooms. In this broadcast I make the case that this isn’t entertainment. It’s preparation—a narrative being seeded to explain away the disappearance of millions, to sell demonic possession as alien contact, and to offer a counterfeit unity that bypasses the cross.
But the answer isn’t fear—it’s discernment. We walk through Matthew 24, the rapture, the counterfeit of the Holy Spirit, and the strong delusion of the last days, and why the blood-bought, Word-anchored believer has nothing to fear and everything to watch for. They’re not aliens. And we were never abducted—we were caught-up to be with our Lord!

I had the privilege of speaking at the 2026 End of Days Bible Prophecy Conference at Cornerstone Bible Church of Lake Stevens in Washington this year. It was such a wonderful time of fellowship and encouragment! The subject was Daniel's Seventieth Week (aka: “7-Year Tribulation) — but instead of charts and timelines, I wanted to take a different approach and ask a different question: what does this period reveal about the character of God? This is a beautiful portrait of a God who is faithful, sovereign, just, merciful, and redemptive. The same God then. The same now and the same God when…it happens!

In a world shaped by headlines, outrage cycles, and endless streams of information, it’s getting harder to recognize just how easily our thinking can be influenced. Modern media is designed to capture attention, stir emotion, and reinforce group identity. Over time, that pressure can start to shape how we see reality itself.
In this episode, we take a careful look at the psychological dynamics behind influence — the role of focus, authority, tribal pressure, and emotion — and why these mechanisms are so effective in the digital age.
But the deeper question is spiritual. Scripture teaches that the real battleground for the believer is the mind. Romans 12 calls us not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds through the truth of God’s Word. When a believer’s identity is rooted in Christ and their thinking is shaped by Scripture, they are far less vulnerable to manipulation, outrage cycles, or the pressure to conform. In a culture constantly trying to move us, the renewed mind becomes a place of stability, discernment, and peace.
