Deep in the woods, surrounded by trees and miles from the noise of the outside world, sits a quiet family cabin. It’s the kind of place you might think of as the perfect setting for a couples getaway.
But in summer 2021, the silence was broken by the sound of a police car pulling up. Bart and Krista Halderson were supposed to be enjoying a weekend away.. but had completely vanished.
As investigators began trying to piece together where this seemingly ordinary couple had gone, they would uncover a story far more disturbing than anyone could have imagined.

On a quiet evening in January 2018, an extraordinary horror was about to be revealed. All it took was one young girl and one decision - the decision to fight for her life. It was one action that set in motion a disturbing turn of events.. that got an entire community asking one question: How could something this horrific stay hidden for so long?

On September 11th, 2001, the world watched in horror as terrorists hijacked four planes, brought down the Twin Towers, and carried out sickening attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.  It was a day of unimaginable loss and tragedy.
Families waiting for phone calls that would never come. Ordinary people facing extraordinary terror.
But in the aftermath of that tragedy, as the world tried to understand what had happened, a different kind of story began to emerge…
People who claimed to be survivors started to step forward.
Some were telling the truth. Others were not.
And it got the world asking: why would anyone choose to lie about one of the most devastating days in modern history?
