Celtic came away from Belgrade with a draw from last night’s Europa League opener against Red Star – but should it be viewed as a point gained, or two dropped?Following a fairly even first half Brendan Rodgers made the call to replace Daizen Maeda with Kelechi Iheanacho at half time and just ten minutes later Celtic got their reward with the ex-Man City man tucking away a brilliant opening goal.Frustration then stems from what looks like a very avoidable equaliser for the hosts as we first conceded and then properly failed to defend a corner, allowing Marko Arnautovic to draw his side level.There would be no further scoring at the Rajko Mitic Stadim with both sides having to settle for a stalemate on Matchday 1, but Celtic can take great confidence from a breakthrough performance by 19-year-old Colby Donovan, as well as another impressive cameo by Iheanacho.HOWEVER, questions do remain over Daizen Maeda’s place in the lineup following another out of sorts display, as well as what seems to be a disjointed midfield three at this moment in time.🎙️ Join Tino for The Final Whistle Show as he assesses Celtic’s opening day draw in Serbia.

Celtic take on Serbian Champions Red Star Belgrade tonight on Matchday 1 of this season’s Europa League and it’s a challenge Brendan Rodgers and his players are thriving on.
Yes we’re all disappointed at failing to make the Champions League this time round but this tournament is one that offers intrigue and excitement with the genuine possibility of progression IF Celtic make the strides that Rodgers is hoping for from his new look group.
For Sebastian Tounekti, Benji Nygren, Colby Donovan and others it’s also a chance to show they can cut it at this level and alongside their teammates they’ll be eager to impress on the European stage.
An intimidating home crowd of 50,000+ will be waiting for the players tonight but that in itself is something the manager has encouraged his side to embrace.
If we want to rectify some of the damage from the Kairat Almaty result then it all starts here.

Celtic are back in cup action this weekend with a short trip to Firhill to face Partick Thistle in Sunday’s League Cup Quarter Final.
Before the weekend fully kicked off though, the club quietly released their year-end financial results on Friday tea-time, and we take a closer look at the key numbers making the headlines, along with the long awaited Chairman’s statement.
On the pitch, the game gives Brendan Rodgers’ side another chance to find the “rhythm” he’s been calling for, as they aim once again for a return to Hampden under his stewardship
And for new signings Sebastian Tounekti, Michel-Ange Balikwisha, Kelechi Iheanacho and others, it’s a further opportunity to impress and strengthen their claim for a place in the manager’s starting XI.
Standing in the way is ex-Celt Mark Wilson who's made a decent start to life in the Thistle dugout, and he’ll be determined to make things as tough as possible for his old club in what promises to be an intriguing cup tie.

Fan Media and Its Role | The Cynic In Conversation With Celtic Exchange, Ryan118 & Quinny
In this crossover episode Tino was invited to join Chris Gallagher of The Cynic this week where he hosted a roundtable including Ryan Fitzsimons (@Ryan118 on YouTube) and Quinny (Celts Are Here) to discuss the role of Fan Media in the modern day Celtic.
===============================
The Roundtable (by The Cynic) is a podcast in which a panel of contributors discuss one particular subject.
In today’s episode, a panel of Chris Gallagher, Ryan Fitzsimons, Tino Callaghan and Jonathan Quinn get together and discuss fan media and it’s role in any potential movement to influence change at Celtic.
We discuss what defines fan media and it”s relationship with the club and the main stream media. We chat about the open letter that the panel members signed, what they could potentially lead to and how we can use our platform to get the message across.
