In today's episode I tread out into ankle deep waters of the let's be frank mostly nonsense culture war hysteria surrounding Christopher Nolan's new movie, an adaptation of Homer's "The Odyssey" and consider the argument, should movies be historically accurate, do they owe a debt to the real characters who lived and died to portray them faithfully, or is history just another treasure trove of storytelling with which we can do as we please? Should the realms of fantasy belong to the vision of the original writer or can we interpret them as we see fit? The truth as always lies somewhere in the middle.....
