Episode 87 John Patrick talks about the importance of his roots in a parish in Mossend, Scotland - and in his Irish and Lithuanian heritage. He describes how he and his cousin, Brian, 'fell into' setting up a media company to 'present the Church and the faith...the fullness of truth, faith and reason, but also the joy of being a Catholic.' Ten years on, John Patrick explains what he thinks makes an authentic social media presence for sharing the faith, starting with, 'You have to just not be afraid.'

They share how they each hold together the questions of science and faith, especially when it comes to the story of the Epiphany. Find out what these three women think about when they look up at a dark, starry sky - with wonder, and faith but also greater scientific knowledge than the wise men in St Matthew's Gospel had. ‘It's all a question of having this open mind to the reality of what God feels like in your life and to recognise that Jesus Christ was the expression of God on earth.’

Episode 83 In this episode, Jenny describes being involved in the work of building peace, after years of conflict in a Pacific island country. She reflects on the culture she found there, in which listening, not speaking, was fundamental. She contrasts this experience with the learning we need to do in the West, to try to become a synodal Church. While ‘Prayer and openly talking about God all the time was part of the culture,’ and ‘People in the Pacific make no contribution to the climate crisis,’ Jenny shares honestly about the time and hard work it takes to heal and rebuild structures and relationships after conflict.
