Bible Study Podcast

Before you can pray for people with power, you need a foundation. Not a formula, a foundation. Pastor Jon has taught this prayer training all over the world, and in this episode he walks us through it from the very beginning, starting with the question most people never ask: what do you actually believe about whether the ministry of Jesus is still for today?
In this episode:
The biblical case from Genesis to Acts for why the Spirit didn’t stop moving when the apostles died and why that changes everything about how you show up to pray for someone
How Jesus did ministry, why “He was God” is not the full answer, and what obedience, identity, and the filling of the Spirit have to do with how we do ministry now
What kairos time means in Mark 1 and why Jesus announcing the Kingdom of God carried so much significance
The three things that marked Jesus’ life: obedience, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit remaining, along with what it takes to cultivate a life in step with Him
Deliverance in India, holy laughter at a Saturday night conference right before COVID, a 15-year-old whose story started changing in a ministry moment, and a backpack that God had been setting up for years

God is always speaking. The question is whether we have learned to hear Him. This episode picks up right where the last one left off. Pastor Jon Rosene is back, and this time the conversation goes deep into one of the most practical and misunderstood topics in the Christian life: hearing the voice of God. From the Hebrew meaning of the Shema to 10 biblical ways God speaks today, this is a full teaching on what it actually looks like to grow in this as an everyday disciple.
In this episode:
Why you may struggle to hear God's voice when you're consuming godless chatter online and how repentance can help you become more attentive to Him
The Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4 and why hearing God also means obeying Him
10 biblical ways God speaks, including Scripture, prophecy, dreams, visions, and the still small voice
How to discern God's voice through Scripture and the character of Jesus
The difference between words of knowledge and prophecy, and how to recognize spiritual impressions
Real stories of hearing and obeying God, including the Z Pizza encounter and the unexpected gift of a 4Runner
Why healthy prayer ministry requires compassion, humility, accountability, and connection to the local church

Satan quoted Psalm 91 to the Son of God. His citations were accurate. His chapter and verse were right, yet he omitted the very next line, the one that promised his own demise. The first classroom in hell is a Bible study without context. This episode is a live teaching from The Send where Pastor Darren and Angela unpack Matthew 4, counter-formation, and what it looks like to be formed by Jesus in a world that is actively forming you into something else.
In this episode:
Matthew 4 and the temptation of Jesus where Satan uses scripture to combat faithfulness, grab power, and omit what does not serve him
Gen Z Bible reading hit 49% in one year and belief in the Bible's accuracy is shrinking at the same time
Engagement is outpacing conviction and what the Barna data actually reveals about the church right now
The first classroom in hell is a Bible study without context and it is happening on Instagram every day
You can quote scripture and still be Satan and the difference between quoting the word and submitting to it
Angela's testimony of being saved at 25, delivered from alcoholism and eating disorders, and what the Word did in her life
Cultural Christianity has changed three things including your relationship with scripture, the church, and the lordship of Jesus

Why masculinity and femininity need each other; and what goes wrong when one is absent
Men leading through self-sacrifice, communication, conflict, and emotional tone
Proverbs 5 and 7 on sexual integrity; the eyes, the heart, and the trap
