Man United's Squad: Keep or Sell? Liverpool In CRISIS! & Arsenal SHOCKED By Southampton!

    06/04/2026 | 1h 15 mins.
Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness are back together on the latest episode of The Good, The Bad & The Football. The lads dig into Arsenal’s wobble after they suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season, with the latest coming in their FA Cup exit at Southampton. They discuss just how hard it is to stop a losing run once it starts and whether Arsenal’s lack of match-winners could cost them in the title race. There's a surprise admission from Scholesy about who he hopes wins the league and he makes a bold call on the one player he believes simply MUST be in the England squad for the men's World Cup. Meanwhile, the number of Arsenal players who withdrew from their national teams during the international break sparks memories for Nicky of the time he tried to pull his own hamstring to avoid a call-up.Liverpool’s heavy 4-0 defeat at Man City comes under the microscope too, with Paul arguing the squad has lost too many of its unsung heroes who did the dirty work, and questioning whether the current group are letting the manager down. Nicky doesn’t hold back either, taking aim at Virgil van Dijk’s post-match comments about the team giving up at the Etihad and asking whether the mentality is where it needs to be. The lads also debate whether Liverpool missed a trick by not signing Marc Guehi and whether a huge result against PSG could still flip the narrative, or if things could go from bad to worse for Arne Slot. And if that happens, could it mean a return for Steven Gerrard?Paul and Nicky also turn their attention to the summer ahead for Manchester United, firstly arguing whether Michael Carrick should keep the head coach job full-time and secondly, picking which players they would keep and who they would move on in the summer. And because it wouldn’t be The Good, The Bad & The Football without some weird and wonderful stories, we find out why Nicky fell out with a staff member at his local bakery and Paddy recalls a truly unfortunate incident at a urinal while filming Take Me Out.If you want to ask the guys anything about football email them at: [email protected] The Good, The Bad & The Football:YouTube: www.youtube.com/@goodbadfootballpodInstagram: @goodbadfootballpodX/Twitter: @goodbadftblpodTikTok: goodbadfootballpodFacebook: www.facebook.com/goodbadfootballpodEnter for the chance to win tickets to see Arsenal v Sporting or Liverpool v PSG: www.thatprizeguy.co.uk

Nicky Butt & Kevin Nolan On De Zerbi To Tottenham?! Salah Leaving & Incredible Andy Carroll Story!

    30/03/2026 | 1h 33 mins.
Kevin Nolan steps into the hot seat alongside Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness for the latest The Good, The Bad & The Football.

Kevin and Nicky take a deep dive into Newcastle’s infamous 2009 relegation, with Kevin revealing the key mistake Alan Shearer made during his short spell in charge. He also shares a remarkable behind-the-scenes moment from pre-season after the drop, recalling a brutal defeat at Leyton Orient that led to a team meeting where he asked who wanted to leave and several team-mates put their hands up.

The lads draw striking parallels between that Newcastle side and Tottenham’s struggles this season, with Kevin making a strong case for why Ange Postecoglou should be brought back to steady the ship. There’s also sympathy from Nicky for Igor Tudor, while Kevin questions Spurs’ lack of diligence in appointing him and his staff.

There are more brilliant Newcastle stories too, as Kevin and Nicky reflect on the chaotic reign of Joe Kinnear, while Kevin reveals why Andy Carroll was initially reluctant to join Liverpool. Nicky opens up on why winning promotion meant so much to him, and how a press story damaged his relationship with the Newcastle fans.

Kevin also shares how his move to West Ham United came about - leading to an argument with his wife while on holiday - before reminiscing about his time under Sam Allardyce at Bolton Wanderers, including the moment Sam revealed he was off to Newcastle. He discusses which of Bolton’s big-name signings stood out, opens up on the reality of Nicolas Anelka compared to his public image, and even recalls how close the club came to signing Pep Guardiola.

To round things off, Kevin names the toughest team-mate he ever played with, reveals the song that used to get Nicky Butt on the dance floor, and the panel debate the timing of Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool departure.

Scholes & Butt On Arteta's Biggest Problem, Tottenham's Crisis & Tuchel's England Squad!

    23/03/2026 | 1h 11 mins.
The Good, The Bad & The Football is back with another brilliant episode. Paul, Nicky and Paddy kick things off with Manchester City’s League Cup win over Arsenal, with Scholesy calling it a “victory for football”. But where did it go wrong for Arsenal? Scholesy argues that Kepa Arrizabalaga’s mistake distracted from just how poor Arsenal were overall and questions whether they have the flair to play expansive football, while Nicky believes the Gunners are simply panicking in their pursuit of a trophy. They also reflect on a brilliant day for Nico O'Reilly, but how did his 21st birthday really compare to Paddy’s?

Attention then turns to Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, with Nicky suggesting Spurs fans made the occasion too big before a ball was kicked. The lads debate whether Igor Tudor has come in too hard on the squad, and discuss how Tottenham can still salvage their season, but who could they turn to to drag them away from trouble. Nicky reflects on how Kevin Keegan’s return once revitalised Newcastle United, while they weigh up whether Liam Rosenior was fortunate to land the Chelsea job and if Frank Lampard could one day return.

There’s a chat on the latest England squad. The lads question the absence of Danny Welbeck and Ollie Watkins, and tackle why Trent Alexander-Arnold has fallen from favour, while Scholesy raises concerns about the form of England’s No.10s, including Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham, while also revealing which one of himself, Steven Gerrard and Lampard he thinks Thomas Tuchel would have dropped back in the day.

Finally, things descend into chaos as the lads attempt to name their Mount Rushmore of Premier League legends. Paddy goes for a full English, Scholesy leans heavily towards Manchester United… and it all gets very heated.

Max Dowman Wins Arsenal The Title! The Problem With Liverpool & Bruno To Break Assists Record?

    16/03/2026 | 1h 16 mins.
Paul, Nicky and Paddy are joined by former Leicester, Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey. The lads start with Arsenal’s win over Everton and the impact of teenage sensation Max Dowman. Nicky recalls first seeing Dowman play when he was just 14, while Scholesy asks whether the youngster might be the type of player Arsenal have been missing this season. They also discuss the fearless confidence Dowman showed on such a big stage and debate how important the senior players around him will be in shaping his development.Emile reflects on his own breakthrough at Leicester, explaining how Martin O’Neill helped guide him as a young player, while he and Nicky also share how they approach their own sons’ football journeys and why sometimes the best thing parents can do is stay out of the way.Elsewhere, the panel try to make sense of Manchester City’s recent dip after their draw with West Ham. Why have the results gone south? Has Erling Haaland stopped scoring for a reason? And why might Phil Foden be struggling for minutes - could it even affect his World Cup hopes? There’s also debate around Liverpool’s frustrating 1–1 draw with Tottenham, with Scholesy sharing a theory on what might have gone wrong this season. Meanwhile, the lads praise the form of Bruno Fernandes at Manchester United and the resurgence of Casemiro in midfield. Does Bruno get into United’s all-time XI, and is he a genuine Player of the Season contender? The show also tackles some of the stranger moments in football this week, including that bizarre Chelsea huddle that somehow involved the referee, and Liam Rosenior’s claim that his players wanted to “respect the ball” — something Scholesy and Nicky aren’t buying. They also ask whether referees are starting to enjoy the spotlight a little too much, with Paddy offering a theory on why refs should probably go back to being geography teachers.Emile also shares some brilliant stories from his career, from struggling with homesickness after joining Liverpool to the moment he finally felt settled on Merseyside. He looks back on his partnership with Michael Owen, explaining why it was the best strike partnership he played in, how it started with England’s youth teams and why Owen winning the Ballon d’Or didn’t feel like a huge deal inside the dressing room. There are some classic football tales too: Scholesy remembers sharing a room with his hero Mark Hughes, while Nicky reveals why rooming with Les Sealey wasn’t quite as enjoyable. Emile also relives the unforgettable night England beat Germany 5–1 in 2001, explaining the story behind his putting celebration. He opens up about playing under Sven-Göran Eriksson, how he managed to annoy Fabio Capello, the half-time scrap during Turkey v England, and the European giant he nearly signed for… before ending up at Birmingham instead. If you want to ask the guys anything about football email them at: [email protected] The Good, The Bad & The Football:YouTube: www.youtube.com/@goodbadfootballpodInstagram: @goodbadfootballpodX/Twitter: @goodbadftblpodTikTok: goodbadfootballpodFacebook: www.facebook.com/goodbadfootballpodEnter for the chance to win £500k for just 19p  www.thatprizeguy.co.uk

Wes Brown: The Truth About The Treble, Incredible Sir Alex Stories & Marking Lionel Messi!

    09/03/2026 | 1h 21 mins.
Wes Brown joins Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness on The Good, The Bad & The Football for a brilliant trip through his time at Manchester United.

Wes explains how one teammate being sick unexpectedly changed his career path and saw him move into defence at United, before reliving his early battles with a teenage Michael Owen and the moment Gary Pallister accidentally revealed he’d be making his debut. The lads debate whether Wes really deserved his reputation for being nasty in training and hear the unbelievable story of how a bust-up on a bus led to him being banned from public transport and asking Sir Alex for a pay rise.

There are brilliant insights into contract negotiations at United, with Roy Keane stepping in to negotiate Wes’s deals, while Paul and Nicky recall how Fergie used Gary Neville and David Beckham as benchmarks to keep the dressing room in line. They also remember their first club cars, how Becks pimped his ride and Nev’s classicly sensible choice.

Ahead of a huge week in the UEFA Champions League, the conversation turns to European nights, from the hostility of Galatasaray to the pressure of playing at the Bernabéu Stadium against Real Madrid. Wes relives marking legends like Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, facing a teenage Ronaldinho as a schoolboy and later going 1v1 with Lionel Messi. He also opens up about the incredible competition at centre-back for England during his era, why he eventually stepped away from international football, and how the gamers at United — including Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Darren Fletcher — helped team morale.

Elsewhere, Wes reveals how he ended up interviewing Cristiano Ronaldo during his return to United in 2021, shares a hilarious first conversation with Steve Bruce after joining Sunderland, and reflects on battling back from two devastating ACL injuries.
