As well as discuss our thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement.Meghan and Lina have both been racing to beat newly released Blue Prince, developed by Dogubomb, a game filled with a unique mix of mystery, strategy, and puzzles that weave together to create an unpredictable journey. Navigate through shifting corridors and ever-changing chambers in this strategy puzzle adventure and find out how many days it will take you to find the mysterious 46th room, and win the deed to the mansion!Shelby shares her thoughts after just completing Ivy Road’s latest game, Wanderstop. This game has so many interesting characters and amazing dialogue and so much mystery as you find yourself stuck in the middle of a magical forest, working at a tea shop. The attention to detail is incredible, and every little moment is also somehow a major profound lesson for every player to take home. We recently reacted to the Nintendo Switch 2 announcements, and we have some thoughts! We’re excited to see new games, new features and higher quality gaming! RuneScape is an MMORPG that launched in 2001 and was a cultural experience you just had to be there for. Without it, Shelby might never have found herself in content creation.Lina shares how her love for gaming began with her dad, playing Half-Life. Released in 1998, Half-Life is a first-person shooter developed by Valve that revolutionized the gaming industry and Lina’s personal life. It catapulted her into a world of immersion, unique interactions, and rich storytelling, which she shared with her dad while watching him play—until she stole the controller and beat the final boss herself!Meghan reflects on growing up as a girl and not understanding why video games were considered "for boys." Defying expectations, she found that beating Super Mario World taught her she could do anything a boy could.     Welcome to Gotta Game For You, where we always have a game lined up just for you!In today’s episode, come join Meghan (@strawburry17), Lina (@linaamadrid), and Shelby (@shelbygraces) as they dive into the games YOU told US we gotta play!  First, Shelby is talking about Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, a game about a young girl named Alba visiting her grandparents on their beautiful island enriched with so much interesting fauna. The nature preserve on the island is in danger and it’s up to Alba and her friend Inez to save it and the animals along with it! As you explore, you take photos of the different animals in their natural habitats and help clean up and fix parts of the island to help more of the exotic wildlife return!Lina is walking us through her playthrough of Last Seen Online, a psychological horror escape room, based on early flash games. Explore an abandoned old computer to uncover the mystery of the disappearance of a girl from the early 90s. Sift through her files, solve puzzles, and discover the secrets of her last interactions to find out what happened to her. Finally, Meghan is sharing with us Venba, a narrative cooking game that follows Venba, a South Indian woman who moves to Canada with her husband in the 1980s. The game explores their journey of settling down in a new country while also preserving their cultural heritage and passing it down to their son.     Welcome to Gotta Game For You, where we always have a game lined up just for you!It’s a new year full of tons of new games coming our way! Sit down with Meghan (@strawburry17), Lina (@linaamadrid), and Shelby (@shelbygraces) as they dive into the games they’re most excited to see come out this year!  Today we’re checking out trailers for Wanderstop, from the makers of Stanley Parable. This farming sim combines the cozy vibes of running a tea shop with dark secrets from the main character’s past. Mixtape, published by Annapurna, is about a group of high schoolers going on one last adventure together, playing through a mixtape of their memories. It is stacked with incredible hits from Smashing Pumpkins, Joydivision and more! And last but not least, Little Nightmares 3, the next installment in the eerie series by Supermassive Games. This time, you can play with a friend to solve puzzles and uncover more secrets of this nightmarish world.We sat down with some developers and publishers at Raw Fury and got some exclusive looks at upcoming games! We talked with Paul Wilson, producer of Post Trauma, an immersive horror game following a retired train conductor who has a lot more to unpack from his past experiences than he realizes. We also spoke with Tonda Ros, creator of Blue Prince, a genre-defying strategy puzzle adventure where you navigate through shifting corridors and ever-changing chambers.Then we’re jumping into our backlog and UNloading some of the games we’ve checked off our lists so far! Lina has finally tackled Indiana Jones And The Great Circle, where you meet new friends but also see many familiar faces, and must uncover the secrets of the Great Circle to defeat the enemies and save the world! Meghan has been playing Inscription, a card based game that is so much more than what it seems. Use deckbuilding to solve escape-room style puzzles in this psychological horror roguelike and dive deeper and deeper into the dark secrets of this game. And lastly, Shelby has finished playing Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, the direct sequel to the beloved game Life Is Strange but ten years later! Max has another mystery to solve and hopefully, with her new powers, has a second chance to save her friend.
