Episode 248 of the Hey You Guys Podcast is here, and this week, Liam and Rob are looking back at a film that scarred a generation of young movie goers. Sure, it's a kids movie based on one of Roald Dahl's most beloved books, but then it also has Anjelica Huston Huston giving one of the most memorable...and disturbing performances of her career as the Grand High Witch. Does the movie hold up though? Do those Jim Henson created effects still look as great today as they did in 1990? Are The Witches as scary as they used to be? Oh, and did everyone else always know that half the witches were played by dudes? Anywho, listen in via your podcast platform of choice to see what we made of this beloved kids horror comedy classic.

Episode 247 of the Hey You Guys Podcast is here, and this week, Liam and Rob are looking back at 1991 cult classic, Stone Cold. A movie, that, let's be honest here, has a lot going on. So, there is The Boz to deal with, his haircut and utterly unique wardrobe, the fact that this movie actually has an awesome cast and, whisper it, despite being utterly mental, might actually be quite good. Then there is the elephant in the room...what does Stone Cold have in common with last week's choice, Prayer of the Rollerboys? Well, yes, it's another early 90s cult classic, but there is also the issue of white supremacists. Did all movies form the early 90s have white supremacists, and we just forgot? Needless to say, we won't be making that mistake again when it comes to picking our third movie of 2026...surely not.

Episode 246 of the Hey You Guys Podcast is here, and this week, Liam and Rob are looking back at 1990 cult classic, Prayer of the Rollerboys. A movie that, well, might not be exactly what you remember. Is there fun synchronised rollerblading, dodgy haircuts and ludicrous outfits? Sure there is. But then, there is also white supremacists, outright racism and a few moments of extreme violence. Is the movie what you remember? Perhaps not. More importantly though, is it still good? Was it ever good? Download the latest episode to find out.

    Violent Night

This week on Hey You Guys, we dive down the chimney into Violent Night (2022) — the gloriously unhinged Christmas action flick where David Harbour proves he was born to play a battle‑weary, Viking‑blooded Santa Claus. We talk booby traps that would make Home Alone’s Kevin McCallister proud (and slightly terrified), a sleigh-load of festive carnage, and why Harbour’s grumpy, hammer‑swinging Saint Nick is the gift that keeps on giving.
We also get into the film’s weaker links: John Leguizamo and his band of baddies, who never quite match the energy of their mythic opponent, and the terminally irritating wealthy family Santa is forced to save — a group so unlikeable you almost start rooting for the villains.
It’s messy, it’s merry, it’s miraculously fun. Grab your milk, cookies, and improvised weapons; this is one Christmas episode you won’t forget.

The third part of our HUGmas season of alternative Christmas movie podcasts is here, and this week, Liam and Rob are looking back at 2010's uniquely Finnish take on the Santa Clause legend, Jalmari Helander's, Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale. Is this a modern Christmas classic, or should this comedic action horror movie be ignored for more traditional fare? Listen in via the link in the bio to find out.
