Kids Podcast

In this episode of the Kids Podcast we catch up on what the 3 older kids have been doing for the past 2 years since we recorded our last episode. Due to Covid and interstate work commitments it's been hard to co-ordinate things to actually record an episode recently, thankfully now things have opened up and we hope to record more episodes on a regular basis. On this episode we also introduce a new "character" to the podcast, Angus is now 7, he's been waiting to come on the podcast since our last episode.

We called this episode the Daily Lives Update as each of the kids tell us what they've been up to since we recorded the last episode in 2020. We have a big catch up on how they are going with their various sports and how things are going at school as well.

If you've listened to either of the previous episodes you'll quickly hear they've grown up a lot since the last time we chatted.

In this edition of the Kids Podcast we discuss all the ins and outs of Easter. We talk about why chocolate eggs are given as a gift on Easter, what time does the Easter bunny deliver the eggs and how does he actually gain entry to everyone's house in order to deliver them. We also delve into whether the Easter bunny has a succession plan or not. The kids put a lot of time and effort into researching this episode, as a result there are some extremely probing questions and some wonderful insights into Easter and what it means to them. We may have ended up with more questions than answers but we all had a lot of fun discussing the meaning of Easter. Hope you enjoy it!!

In this episode of the Kids Podcast we discuss the Corona Virus and how kids are affected by all that is going on in the world at the moment. We discuss their thoughts and feelings in relation to the virus and we also discuss their fears. They asked some great questions which we tried to answer to help them further understand the virus, how long it will affect the world and if there is likely to be a vaccine for it some time soon.

Before we recorded this podcast we listened to a podcast by Dr Norman Swan called "Corona Cast - Are We All Going To Die?" It is a brilliant episode especially for kids where he discusses the Corona Virus in a way that kids can easily understand. He also takes some questions from kids during the podcast.
