Nostalgia & Now

This week Kelli is joined by the other two members of her three person group chat, Samantha Bush (@bravo historian) and Lex Niko (@lexniko). These gals talk about a little bit of everything, from the royal family to Taylor Swift to teen dramas. It's a chaotic conversation between three close friends, filled with plenty of laughs, tangents, and pop culture opinions. Hit play and you'll feel like you're right there at brunch with them!

This week, Kelli is pressing play on one of her favorite projects of all time, Kelsea Ballerini’s Grammy-nominated EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat! From the highly publicized divorce that inspired it to the deeply personal lyrics and incredible storytelling, Kelli dives into the events leading up to its release and why she believes it’s one of the most beautifully written breakup projects of all time. Plus, she explores the connections to Kelsea’s earlier music, the public back-and-forth, and how six songs became something so much bigger than a response to heartbreak.

This week Kelli is joined by Lisa Whittington-Hill, author of You Know What You Did: The Hills! The two dive into one of the most iconic reality shows of the 2000s, talking everything from Lauren and Heidi's infamous friendship breakup to the show's most memorable moments, the blurred lines between reality and what was produced, and the impact The Hills had on pop culture. They also discuss how differently we view the cast today, the media's treatment of young women in the 2000s, and why, nearly 20 years later, we're still talking about what happened in those Hollywood Hills. Whether you were Team Lauren or Team Heidi, this episode is for you!
