Welcome to Episode 123 of The Modelgeeks Podcast!

We recently attended IPMS Northern Virginia’s (https://www.novaipms.org/) annual contest and show, “The Model Classic”. We’ll talk about the cool models we saw on display, and we also caught up with Mr. Ben Pluth who was in town to present one of the special awards, the “Walt Champlin Best Cold War U.S. Aircraft Memorial Award”.
We also had the opportunity to talk to Mr. John Figueroa, Convention Chairman for the 2026 IPMS USA National Convention, happening Aug 5th – 8th, 2026. John and Mr. Tony Faust sat down and gave us an update on how all the pieces are coming together to make 2026 another IPMS Nationals to remember. 
Mr. Faust also hosts the Odin & Aesop Military History Podcast, well worth a listen! Be careful, you may learn something!

What’s Crack-a-Lack’n Modelgeeks! Welcome to Episode 122 of The Modelgeeks Podcast!

Greetings my fellow ModelGeeks, and welcome to the MGPC Episode 121!  Nemo is your HAC for this episode, with a full house!  We chat about the latest and greatest in everyone's model world and get caught up with what's happening in the hobby.  
The mail bag was overflowing with over 20 emails, which is amazing!  We really appreciate the emails and love hearing from you all.  Also, thanks again for the listener gallery submissions.  Please keep the emails and gallery pics coming and we can't wait to see your work, discuss them on the podcast, and present them on our website.
For the main topic, we discuss the basics of mixing, applying, and removing washes.  We have to thank Nemo for the topic, since he goofed up using the Red Cap Ronsonol which stripped the Gunze Aqueous and Tamiya acrylic paint.  Rudy and LionHeart to the rescue!!  We discuss different types of washes, including our preferred methods of mixing, applying, and removing them.  It's a great topic so we hope you all give it a listen.

Jeremy Moore is joining us as a guest host and to help us with our model photography.
After a bit of banter, we share what is on our bench and what we have picked up lately.  After we mention our March Madness projects we cover Mail Call (keep the cards & letters coming folks!).  Don’t forget Listener Spotlight.  We then do a recap of the Old Dominion Open (Richmond IPMS) and then roll into a recap of future shows.
