    243. Self-Abandonment & the Tenth House

    22/06/2026 | 46 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Tenth House. She explores the Tenth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we become entangled with caregiver strivings, overculture's templates for success, or the pressure to be known, recognized, and received in a certain way.
    Topics She Covers:
The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a long container, a hermitage, and a structure for surrendering to time, personal gnosis, and what emerges through commitment.

The Moon as the place that holds our stories of safety, belonging, emotional security, and the need to be held.

The Tenth House as public reputation, public role, what we are known for, and what we bring out into the world.

Self-abandonment in the Tenth House as getting hooked into caregiver strivings, overculture's ideas of success, achievement, performance, and who we think we have to be.

The paradox of clearing old templates around success while still honoring an authentic public call, offering, or life force that wants to move through us.

Through the lens of the Tenth House, this episode explores how we begin to separate from inherited strivings, return to our own agency, and tend to the roots that make authentic public contribution possible.

    242. Self-Abandonment & the Ninth House

    19/06/2026 | 49 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Ninth House. She explores the Ninth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we cede our authority to dogmas, teachers, books, spiritual leaders, or inherited beliefs that keep us from trusting our direct relationship with the divine.
    Topics She Covers:
Self-abandonment as something we often cannot see clearly until we are taught to notice the signals and call it what it is.

Britten's early relationship with self-sabotage, the saboteur archetype, and the realization that we may sabotage ourselves because we are terrified of our own empowerment.

The Emergent No as the beginning of her mystical, healing, entrepreneurial, and erotic path.

The Chariot, congruence, and the way unconscious parts of us can pull against what we consciously want.

The Ninth House as personal cosmology, belief, worldview, imagination, divinity, teachers, spiritual authority, and the way we project what is possible onto the universe.

Self-abandonment in the Ninth House as over-trusting external authorities instead of cultivating sovereignty, personal gnosis, and a direct collaboration with the cosmos.

Through the lens of the Ninth House, this episode explores sovereignty, imagination, and the possibility of being held by the universe in a way that helps us move through the world without abandoning ourselves to stay safe with others.

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Eighth House. She explores the Eighth House as a place where self-abandonment can become especially nuanced, because this house asks us to give ourselves into contact with another without losing our own attunement, discernment, or trust in what we know.
    Topics She Covers:
Podcasting as a kind of Eighth House reach into the unknown, where Britten extends her voice into the dark and trusts that someone is there to receive it.

Emergence Astrology as a relationship with both "this side" astrology and "that side" astrology: technique, lineage, and the mysteries that come through personal and collective gnosis.

Year One of The Emergence Astrology Pathway as an exploration with the Moon, self-attunement, personal gnosis, energy training, intuition, and learning to trust your own voice.

The Eighth House as other people's resources, debt, inheritance, therapy, caretaking, surgery, intimacy, and the vulnerability of being supported where we most need help.

The question of how to become approachable to what is hidden: in ourselves, in reality, in the universe, and among the gods.

Britten's relationship with Matt as an example of surrendering into trust, creating repair over time, and building a new body of evidence that intimacy could hold.

Through the lens of the Eighth House, this episode explores surrendering into trust, staying in touch with resonance in the body, and noticing where refusing the high sensation of intimacy may be another way we leave ourselves behind.

    240. Self-Abandonment & the Seventh House

    12/06/2026 | 42 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Seventh House. She explores the Seventh House as a place where self-abandonment can happen so easily because our desire for connection, safety, and intimacy can become tangled with fear, projection, old agreements, and the need to be loved or validated.
    Topics She Covers:
The Emergence Astrology Pathway Year One as a slow, deep curriculum for identifying when you are not in yourself and learning to anchor back into your own knowing.

Gnosis as your own knowing: the thing no one can take away from you.

The Seventh House as one-on-one relationships, including romantic relationships, friendships, partnerships, and the ways we find out who we are through others.

Projection, intimacy, trust, boundaries, and the difference between intuition and projection in relationship.

Energetic contracts and agreements, including the old relational patterns we may have agreed to when we were younger and the fear that arises when we want to update them.

The deep vulnerability of intimacy and the ways we can protect ourselves from being hurt by closing our hearts, projecting fear, or refusing to listen in conflict

How difficult it can be to stop self-abandoning in relationship because we cannot control how another person will respond when we grow, change, or update the terms of connection.

Through the lens of the Seventh House, she invites listeners to consider the relational agreements they may still be living inside, the fear that keeps those agreements in place, and the possibility of repair through real-time relationship, deeper self-responsibility, and learning to hold our own emergence without abandoning ourselves.

    239. Self-Abandonment & the Sixth House

    09/06/2026 | 24 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Sixth House. She explores the Sixth House as a place where shame often gathers around capacity, productivity, health, organization, and what it means to tend to devotion without policing.
    Topics She Covers:
The momentum of moving through the houses as a framework for attention, immersion, and revelation.

Gnosis as the wisdom, truth, insight, and knowing that no one can take away from you.

The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a space for cultivating personal and collective gnosis.

Self-abandonment as something we have to learn to identify, name, and refuse so we can come back into innocence and bring ourselves home.

The Sixth House as a realm of bodies, care, energetic health, daily systems, administrative life, and the commitment to living in a body on planet Earth.

How shame can distort our relationship to health, capacity, productivity, care, systems, and the way we tend to what needs our attention.

Britten reflects on how difficult it can be to know how to care for ourselves inside systems and cultures that do not prioritize care. She names the shame many of us carry around our bodies, our capacity, our administrative lives, and the day-to-day systems that support our health and ability to function. Through the lens of the Sixth House, she invites listeners to imagine tending to these parts of life without shame as the authority: not from punishment, anti-aging, productivity, or inherited conditioning, but because we are people who turn toward life. This episode is an invitation to decondition the shame of the Sixth House and return to a more loving, clear, and present-time commitment to being here with ourselves, in this body, every day.
