    234. Self-Abandonment & the First House

    21/05/2026 | 54 mins.
In this episode, Britten begins a new series exploring self-abandonment through the twelve houses of the birth chart, opening with the First House as the realm of arrival, direction, and how we enter the field of life. Returning to themes from her recent reflections on The Matriarchy is Already Here, she traces the relationship between shame, self-trust, and the ways we learn to leave ourselves behind.
Britten's Emergence Astrology sees the language as one of repair, recovery, renewal, and remembering. One that helps reveal where self-abandonment lives and what becomes possible when we choose to stay with ourselves.
Britten explores the First House as the helm of the chart: the place connected to action, choice, and the way we steer the boat of our lives. She reflects on self-abandonment as a loss of trust in our own way of moving through the world and asks what it means to remain with ourselves instead. Along the way, she shares why the practice of listening with the Moon has become foundational to the reimagined Emergence Astrology Pathway, her one-to-three year program through the heart of her teachings. Rather than turning away from our own knowing, she invites listeners into a practice of attunement: listening, returning, and learning to trust themselves over time with the reckless freedom they deserve.

Learn More About The Emergence Astrology Pathway:
The Emergence Astrology Pathway is a one-to-three year passage to utterly transform your relationship to being alive in your body on planet earth in present time. "The Matriarchy Is Already Here" is a phrase that came to Britten this year in a vision. In this vision, she sees the matriarchy not as a top-down political system that rises up with singular leaders. Rather, the matriarchy is all of us – in all bodies – learning to attune to and take care of the Younger Selves within us, helping us trust that we cannot be abandoned when we have ourselves. Disobedience is the way out. But first: we learn to listen within.
We gather in community. We devote ourselves each to our own temples. We resource with the divine within and all around us. And we disrupt as we have the capacity to stay with ourselves through the storm of our true voices.
The Emergence Astrology Pathway is a path through Britten's most refined, mature, and powerful curriculum. This experience is designed for those who ever find themselves in a position to support another. Whether you're an established therapeutic practitioner, a leader, a parent, or simply a human being with the sincere desire to show up in your fullest integrity, the Emergence Astrology Pathway will be the remembering and the revelation that you most yearn for.

    233. Self-Abandonment in the Field: A Dark Moon Download

    14/05/2026 | 49 mins.
In this Dark Moon download, Britten reflects on the closing edge of the lunar cycle that began on April 17 and the themes that have continued surfacing across her work, relationships, and inner life. Returning to the phrase "the matriarchy is already here," she explores the strange experience of finding language for something that was already alive in the body before it could fully be spoken. Through stories from recent conversations, client work, and her own unfolding process, she reflects on what it means to stop abandoning yourself in subtle, everyday ways, and how self-trust deepens through repeated acts of attunement over time.
Throughout the episode, Britten weaves together astrology, tarot, shame, and nervous system awareness to examine self-abandonment as both a personal wound and a collective pattern. She speaks about protectiveness, collapsed edges, obedience, and the ways people lose touch with their own authority in order to stay connected, safe, or approved of. Rather than framing healing as perfection, she returns again and again to the practice of staying with yourself. Listening, responding, updating in real time, and allowing your edges to become visible.
This episode ultimately becomes an exploration of repair: how we reclaim authority, rebuild trust with ourselves, and slowly learn to belong to our own lives again.

    232. The Matriarchy Is Already Here

    28/04/2026 | 1h 19 mins.
In this episode, Britten shares the living transmission behind the phrase The Matriarchy Is Already Here. She explains where it came from, how it moved through her in real time, and begins to name what it actually means in the context of her teachings. Not as a future top-down system, but as something already moving from the bottom up, human to human, cycle by cycle, through the practice of staying with ourselves, protecting children, protecting life, and refusing to abandon the future. If you want to experience where this transmission first moved through her in real time, you can watch the original Instagram reel here.
Britten also shares a deeply personal story from her 30th high school reunion, an unexpected encounter that became a real-time expression of everything she's been teaching. Through this story, she shows what it looks like to update into present time, stand with younger parts of yourself, and no longer let shame, old projections, or dominator personalities define your story.
This episode is a potent reflection on repair, self-loyalty, and the alchemy of becoming someone who cannot be rattled away from yourself.

Britten invites listeners to join her and Matt in the 5th installment of Mystics Making Money: Have You Tried Making It Weirder? in May, a four part workshop series focused on branding as a practice of clarifying and expressing what you do.
We understand branding as a ritual process of updating yourself into present time so that what you share, build, and offer is no longer coming from inherited shame, past identity, or someone else's story about you.
We're interested in helping you remove the lag between who you are becoming and how you are currently showing up. Here, branding becomes the expression of that alignment, not the goal.

    231. Have You Tried Making It Weirder? with Matt Bull

    16/04/2026 | 1h 25 mins.
In this episode, Britten is joined by Matt Bull for a rich conversation on branding, messaging, repetition, and the resistances that can arise when magical, creative people try to clarify what they do in the world. Together, they introduce their upcoming Mystics Making Money workshop, Have You Tried Making It Weirder?, and explore branding not as something flattening or corporate, but as a process of becoming more coherent, more recognizable, and more deeply aligned with your own magic. Along the way, Britten reflects on her own history with branding, from early agency days to the creation of Emergence Astrology, and the ways this process has helped her articulate and anchor what is most true in her work.
    Topics They Cover:
Britten and Matt's shared history in advertising, branding, and creative work, and how that informs this collaboration

Why branding can feel resistant or confining to artists, mystics, and intuitives

How repetition and consistency function as powerful tools for helping people understand and remember your work

Branding as a magical practice: sigils, taglines, visual identity, messaging, and the creation of a doorway into your world

Britten's personal experiences with branding, including the creation of her logo and the emergence of Emergence Astrology

What participants can expect inside Have You Tried Making It Weirder?, including positioning, visual identity, messaging, and interactive exercises

At the heart of this conversation is the idea that branding does not have to mean becoming less yourself. In fact, the deeper invitation is the opposite: to get clearer about your you-ness, to commit to what is actually yours, and to let that clarity support how your work moves through the world. This episode is a thoughtful and energizing entry point into a workshop designed to help people get more honest, more potent, and yes, a little weirder, in how they share what they make.

    230. Introducing: Scopes Unshamed

    01/04/2026 | 42 mins.
In this episode, Britten announces a new project she's been dreaming on since 2025: Scopes Unshamed. She shares the path that brought her back to horoscopes, from writing New Moon horoscopes for D Magazine and Patreon in the early years of her practice, to stepping away from forecasts as her work became more mystical, unshaming-focused, and chartless. Now, she feels herself moving back toward that end of the infinity loop, ready to bring horoscopes forward again through the lens of Emergence Astrology and all that her unshaming pedagogy has become.
Britten reflects on what makes this approach distinct for her: not trying to define herself against what's already out there, but letting the work distinguish itself through how it feels and what it offers. She speaks to horoscopes as a support technology for living, something that can help people navigate their lives with more intimacy, agency, self-trust, self-compassion, and good humor. Rather than fixed meanings or predictions, Scopes Unshamed is rooted in questions, resonance, embodiment, and the complexity of real human experience.

Scopes Unshamed is Britten LaRue's return to monthly horoscopes—shared by Rising Sign and rooted in astrology as a support technology for time, rather than a prediction machine.
Each month, these horoscopes work with the zodiac and current astrology to help you stay with what is, notice what's actually happening in your life, and recognize what is and isn't resonant in real time.
Astrology here is held as a mystery tradition—something to be felt as much as understood—and as a space for self-honesty without self-judgment, where you can build a more living, emergent relationship with time.
