    246. I've got chicken feet and horns growing out of my head

    29/06/2026 | 48 mins.
In this episode, Britten shares her funky take on mysticism and the kind of mystic she is here to invite listeners into becoming. Britten expands the usual definition of a mystic, opening up mysticism to include the body, desire, voice, money, pleasure, ritual, and the deeply human practice of giving yourself permission.
    Topics She Covers:
Britten's hermitage after divorce, when astrology, tarot, ritual, intuition, and her erotic awakening all opened at the same time.

Mysticism as something embodied and earthly, rather than a high-vibe movement away from being human.

The connection between her mystical life, erotic life, and entrepreneurial path.

The importance of validating your own magic instead of looking to a teacher to confirm it for you.

Why transformation needs a container, and why a podcast can offer information but cannot hold the same kind of magic as a committed space.

Hybridity, shapeshifting, surrender, and becoming more of the strange, contradictory, multidimensional creature you already are.

This episode is an exploration of what happens when we agree to our own transformation and stop waiting for outside permission to become as magical, strange, powerful, and alive as we actually are.
The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with a Hermitage, where you discover how hybrid you are. Where you invite yourself to get pregnant with an Emergent You. Where you let in the mysteries of the "That Side" of astrology.

    245. Self-Abandonment & the Twelfth House

    26/06/2026 | 51 mins.
In this episode, Britten closes her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Twelfth House. She explores the Twelfth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we refuse to take space for ourselves, shame the need to step away from ordinary time, or become enmeshed with someone else's way of coping with being here.
The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with a 9-month Hermitage so you can take some fucking space for yourself. The experience is one that will connect you to the longings and the wisdom of your 12th House Self.
    Topics She Covers:
The Twelfth House as the finale of this series, and as the house of Britten's Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Persephone in Pisces.

Britten's relationship to promotion, voice, and the assignment she feels to get her teachings to those they are meant for.

The question, "What are you looking for in astrology?" and why Emergence Astrology is more interested in expansive questions rather than fixed answers.

The houses as spaces of self-healing, where we can recognize and begin clearing patterns of self-abandonment.

The Twelfth House as self-undoing, solitude, retreats, hospitals, prisons, sleep, dreams, altered states, and the places that take us out of the day-to-day of life.

Taking space for yourself as one of the most powerful ways to not self-abandon in the Twelfth House.

The shame Twelfth House people can carry when their nature draws them away from behaviors that overculture applauds.

Ritual devotion as a way to understand your Fourth, Eighth, and Twelfth Houses, and as a practice for receiving your own gnosis.

Whether you have placements there or not, you have a 12th House, and you have not been encouraged by Overculture to go spend time there. You were told it's a waste of time, that it's unproductive, that it will un-do you. These lies stop now.
Through the lens of the Twelfth House, this episode explores what becomes possible when we make time outside of the schedule and let ritual become a doorway for receiving the information that wants to come through.
The Emergence Astrology Pathway is not a traditional astrology course, though you will become ever more fluent in the language. It's an experience you give yourself if you long to repair, recover, renew, and remember your power.
Doors only once a year! Enrollment is now open through June 30. You can learn more and register here.

    244. Self-Abandonment & the Eleventh House

    24/06/2026 | 43 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Eleventh House. She explores the Eleventh House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we stop trusting that our voice, hopes, dreams, weirdness, or heart-led vision for the world can be received, constellated around, and shared with others.
    Topics She Covers:
Cancer season, the Moon, and why The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with Cancer on purpose.

The way Cancer invites us to leave home in order to come more fully home to ourselves.

The Moon as the first voice that claimed Britten and invited her to come home, listen to herself, and name the no that would change her life.

Astrology as a home inside the self, a living and responsive system that's a part of the interconnectedness of all things, and a way of building a place where it becomes safe to emerge.

The Eleventh House as the house of good spirit, community, networks, patrons, groups, and those we constellate around us through shared hopes and dreams for the world.

Self-abandonment in the Eleventh House as giving up on humans, magic, imagination, or the possibility of finding the people who want to build the world with us.

Through the lens of the Eleventh House, this episode explores the restoration of wonder, pleasure, delight, and trust in people, and the possibility of singing the song of your Eleventh House spirit even before you know who will hear it.

    243. Self-Abandonment & the Tenth House

    22/06/2026 | 46 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Tenth House. She explores the Tenth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we become entangled with caregiver strivings, overculture's templates for success, or the pressure to be known, recognized, and received in a certain way.
    Topics She Covers:
The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a long container, a hermitage, and a structure for surrendering to time, personal gnosis, and what emerges through commitment.

The Moon as the place that holds our stories of safety, belonging, emotional security, and the need to be held.

The Tenth House as public reputation, public role, what we are known for, and what we bring out into the world.

Self-abandonment in the Tenth House as getting hooked into caregiver strivings, overculture's ideas of success, achievement, performance, and who we think we have to be.

The paradox of clearing old templates around success while still honoring an authentic public call, offering, or life force that wants to move through us.

Through the lens of the Tenth House, this episode explores how we begin to separate from inherited strivings, return to our own agency, and tend to the roots that make authentic public contribution possible.

    242. Self-Abandonment & the Ninth House

    19/06/2026 | 49 mins.
In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Ninth House. She explores the Ninth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we cede our authority to dogmas, teachers, books, spiritual leaders, or inherited beliefs that keep us from trusting our direct relationship with the divine.
    Topics She Covers:
Self-abandonment as something we often cannot see clearly until we are taught to notice the signals and call it what it is.

Britten's early relationship with self-sabotage, the saboteur archetype, and the realization that we may sabotage ourselves because we are terrified of our own empowerment.

The Emergent No as the beginning of her mystical, healing, entrepreneurial, and erotic path.

The Chariot, congruence, and the way unconscious parts of us can pull against what we consciously want.

The Ninth House as personal cosmology, belief, worldview, imagination, divinity, teachers, spiritual authority, and the way we project what is possible onto the universe.

Self-abandonment in the Ninth House as over-trusting external authorities instead of cultivating sovereignty, personal gnosis, and a direct collaboration with the cosmos.

Through the lens of the Ninth House, this episode explores sovereignty, imagination, and the possibility of being held by the universe in a way that helps us move through the world without abandoning ourselves to stay safe with others.
