Many have told me this is in their top 2 X games alongside the original, and now that I've played it for myself, I get it.The original trilogy of Mega Man X games on the SNES range from perfection to meh (in my books), so I was curious to see how the series would go once it left the 16-bit era. And while X4 definitely shares some DNA with the very subpar Mega Man 8, it brings the heat in practically every way and is anything but subpar. AND it's 2 games in one, because you can play as X AND Zero! The Dr. Light to my Dr. Wily, Dan from Dissect That Film returns to this week to talk more Maverick hunting. We went longer than I expected us to with this one, but when you're talking mega Man there's never enough. With 2 playthroughs to break down, plus rambling about the series as a whole and those legendary cutscenes, we had a ton to get to.And before we X, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks for breakup advice in video game context and I try my best. What are the top NES hidden gems I'd recommend people check out?? And why don't I play all series in chronological order??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 Mega Man games: Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man Zero, and Mega Man ZX.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

So this week we're going back to 2001, the flat faced, non-backlit GBA, and the pretty damned good Mario Kart: Super Circuit.I didn't play this one a lot back in the day, but going through it 25 years after launch, I was pretty impressed. It feels like a hybrid of Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64, and for the first ever portable Kart, it's pretty damned solid. Hiding the Super Mario Kart tracks as extra content turned me on a little, too.The Luigi to my (or Mark's) Mark, ye olde Bradley McCue, joins me on the show this week. We had a great time talking Super Circuit and the Mario Kart series as a whole, and I can guarantee y'all is won't be FOUR YEARS before we talk more kart racing! And before we race, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks what my most anticipated games of 2026 are, I explain what (and briefly answer) the most frequently asked questions I get are, and we talk about the leaps in game tech that blew our minds the most.Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One'!! This one features 3 Mario Karts: Super Mario Kart, Double Dash, and Mario Kart 64.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

I've been singing the praises of Bioshock for years, and finally decided it was time to replay and review the sequel.I hadn't played Bioshock 2 since it released, and all I really remembered about it was that you played as a Big Daddy. Taking it for as pain for the first time in almost 15 years was a blast, and while I (ironically) the the Big Daddy mechanic falls a little flat, I still can't get enough of the world of Rapture.Ye olde Tylet is helping me close out the year by talking about killing crazy people with drills and singing the praises of genius Andrew Ryan's world of Rapture. Would you kindly join us?And before we go harvesting, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if the Switch has surpassed the SNES as my favourite console? Am I interested in playing the original Fallout? And other than Mario, which franchise needs to start pumping out sports games??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 great sequels: Half-Life 2, Halo 2, and Mass Effect 2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Remember The Game? #359 - The Simpsons Skateboarding

    24/12/2025 | 1h 34 mins.

I knew of the horrible reputation this game had, but I thought there'd be enough meat on the bone to have some fun with this episode and laugh a little at least. But no. There's nothing fun about this game. In fact, The Simpsons Skateboarding is quite possibly the worst game I've ever played. It does a horrible job of lifting the Tony Hawk Pro Skater controls, and then drops them into the most half-assed levels I've ever seen. You clip through walls and constantly get stuck on things. There's no fun landmarks to explore. The objectives are lame. Horrible voice acting. This game is worse than Homer's car.I'm rolling solo this week. I wouldn't subject any of my friends to this pile of shit. And before I choke on my own rage, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week we discuss the idea that Yoshi could be a Pokemon. How would I rank some tough NES games by difficulty? And do I write my games off??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 retro Simpsons titles: Bart vs The Space Mutants, Virtual Bart, and Simpsons Wrestling.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This is my go-to Christmas game, it's a masterpiece, and in a lot of ways it's superior to Mario's SNES work. You all know how this game works. You play as Donkey and Diddy Kong, you're trying to get your bananas back, and you jump in a lot of barrels. The platforming in DKC is superb, the music is fire, and the level variety keeps the game fresh the whole way through. And the graphics? Get outta here...Captain N of the Retrotopia podcast joins me this week and we had a great time talking a great game. I don't know how anyone with a soul could not love this game, and aside from a couple minor gripes, we spent most of our hour together about just how special of game this is.And before we get stuck in barrels, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone brings up a promise I made re: Ecco the Dolphin, we talk about the must-play PS5 titles for anyone getting a system for Christmas this year, and if 'Blank Man' was a robot master, what would he be all about?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! About Remember The Game? Retro Gaming Podcast

Comedian Adam Blank hosts "Remember The Game?", a retro gaming podcast. Each week, Adam and his guest will select a video game that they grew up playing, and spend time reminiscing about what they loved (or hated) about it. Not intended to be a history lesson, "Remember The Game?" is more like a conversation you'd overhear on the playground as a kid. The discussions are all over the place, and are guaranteed to fill you with that warm, nostalgic feeling. (Or rage, like you felt with the underwater level in the original Ninja Turtles game). Either way, it's gonna be fun! New episodes every Wednesday!
