  • Big Brother Fight Night Part 2: Big Brother’s Most Explosive Night Ever

    25/05/2026 | 1h
This week it’s a HUGE Celebrity Trenches special as Jamie is joined by Big Brother 5 winner Nadia Almada, Fight Night icon Victor Ebuwa, legendary narrator Marcus Bentley and former Big Brother director Ben Hardy to unpack the most chaotic era in reality TV history.

Victor reveals producers gave the housemates an “apocalyptic amount of booze” before the infamous Fight Night kicked off. Jamie also points out they’d run out of cigarettes. Different times!

Nadia explains why BB5 felt like “social warfare” after producers removed books, writing materials and even turned sprinklers on housemates when they got too relaxed in the garden.

Ben Hardy reveals nobody expected the famous fake eviction twist to explode into total carnage and explains how the live feed accidentally made Fight Night sound so violent that viewers actually called the police.

Victor also opens up about his tensions with Emma from the very first night in the house, while Nadia reveals housemates were offered the chance to speak to police after the series ended.

Plus: Marcus Bentley reflects on becoming the voice of Big Brother, everyone agrees BB was the blueprint for every reality show that followed, and Nadia shares why her historic win became a pivotal moment for trans representation in Britain.

It’s nostalgia, chaos and reality TV history all rolled into one.

  • Big Brother Fight Night Part 1: The dark truth about reality TV

    22/05/2026 | 47 mins.
This week on Celebrity Trenches we dive headfirst into the absolute madness of 2000s reality TV with comedian and presenter Matt Richardson, broadcaster and reality TV expert Jamie East and consultant psychiatrist Dr Gareth Smith.

From contestants being kept awake for seven days in Shattered, to Space Cadets convincing people they’d gone to space from an airbase in Suffolk, we revisit the era when reality TV had absolutely no limits.

We uncover the truth behind some of the wildest shows ever commissioned, including celebrity sheep herding on Flockstars, circus acts on Cirque de Celebrité, and the infamous Naked Jungle with Keith Chegwin.

We also get into the chaos of Big Brother Fight Night, the booze, the cigarettes, the pressure cooker environment and why Day 23 is apparently when contestants always snap.

Matt opens up about being trolled during his time on The Xtra Factor and why reality TV’s duty of care has changed so dramatically.

There’s asparagus eviction predictions, champagne-fuelled arguments and one incredible line from Matt about being “the person in the friendship group people have to pre-warn you about.”

Basically, if you miss the completely unhinged era of reality TV this episode is for you!

  • Pricey…Where the HELL is your husband?

    20/05/2026 | 43 mins.
Another big week in the Celebrity Trenches!

Jamie & Alice unpack the Eurovision aftermath, from Australia somehow still competing to the UK coming last AGAIN. Nul, indeed, points.

We delve into the internet-breaking wedding of Tyson Fury’s daughter Venezuela Fury: 18 bridesmaids, Biggie Smalls down the aisle, Peter Andre performing, and a 16-year-old bride casually carrying her phone at the altar.

Jamie’s got his Harry Styles live tickets - but is Harry bigger than Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran now?

Elsewhere, Benedict Cumberbatch gets caught in the most British bike-rage incident ever filmed!

We cover all the topics: Katie Price’s husband mysteriously disappears, influencer James Charles sparking outrage after mocking an airline worker.

Who knew that Peter Andre *really* likes bananas?

Plus, Alice explains why all weddings are fundamentally embarrassing.

If you listen, you’re SURELY up to date!

  • What going to the BAFTAs is *really* like…!

    13/05/2026 | 47 mins.
Jamie East & comedian Alice Brine bring you their razor-sharp hot takes on the last seven days in showbiz in our new pod, ‘Celebrity Trenches: Weekly Dispatch’.

It’s a bumper week to unpack: Jamie went to the BAFTAs & has the BTS goss about what it’s *really like* to be there. It was long, he got hungry, but he DID see celebs behaving badly with their (packets of) nuts. Jamie spoke to a Celebrity Traitors legend Alan Carr, who revealed exactly why his surprise 50th birthday *really was* unexpected! You’ll love it when you know!

We applaud Mary Berry using her BAFTA’s speech to plug her new YouTube channel!

Alice & Jamie talk Strictly new presenters rumours. Jamie’s got a hot theory on who he thinks could get the gig!

Alice drops a bombshell about a Kiwi reality TV show that we’ve never had in the UK, but Jamie is now obsessed by! “Erica Stole Coxie’s Hole” will make sense once you’ve listened!

Alice is super excited that we'll soon see Nigella hosting Bakeoff - she's ready for it to be more sexy cos of Nigella.

We talk about Paul Hollywood getting done for speeding in his land rover cos his cat was ill. We also discuss the photos of PH in his biker leathers.

Alice also (not very politely) points out that Jamie does a “millennial pause” on his social videos. LOL!

It’s Eurovision this weekend so the guys lookahead to that. It’s fair to say it’s not Jamie’s jam, but among other things, he wonders why the UK doesn’t just send our best musicians?!

When did Table Football become "foossball"? Is it cos of 'Friends' / US TV?

Also, Jamie & Alice reply to listener's comments in 'Ask Us Anything' - which Jamie uses as an excuse to wheel-out his story about hanging out with Robbie Williams in the recording studio when he was recording 'Angels' back in the 90s.

All bases covered! It’s the Celebrity Trenches: Weekly Dispatch!
