Crazy episode that definitely takes at least two viewings to really get it (all the black and white scenes are earlier, and color later). Coming right on the heals of the season five finale, this episode felt like a continuation of that season, which made me like it even more than I did the first time around. First Time Again :P

Andrew Lincoln starred in a TV series, and so of course we’re gonna talk about it! Thing is, he plays kind of a berk (that’s British for chode). Coldwater (available on Paramount+ in the U.S.) is a lot of fun though — it’s funny, thought-provoking, and it’s a good old-fashioned thriller to sink your teeth into. I wouldn’t necessarily give it my highest recommendation, but honestly, that fact that Lucy and I had so much fun talking about it made me like it even more. You gotta be ready to see Andrew Lincoln playing a berk though….

What is Severance? It’s a trippy show where for some reason office workers have had their brains bifurcated so that while at work, they retain only work memories, and only outside memories on the outside. It’s a mysterious, mind-bending, amusingly strange, beautifully shot, intelligent thriller about identity, memory, and corporate control, and it’s on Apple TV, and Karen and I will be covering the entire series on Wax Episodic.
