  • S3 Ep 1: Goodbye Elm Hedgehog Rescue?
Help save Elm Hedgehog Rescue! In this episode, I speak to Rick, founder and manager of the centre about why they might have to close their doors this year and what will happen to their hedgehogs if they do. We also talk about the danger of rat poison, saving a buzzard on the A38 and what you might be able to do to help save the centre. We also say goodbye to our Coordinator Flavio and welcome Vicky, who has taken over from him.   ACT's Wildlife Warden Scheme is run by the Action on Climate in Teignbridge (www.actionclimateteignbridge.org) Ecology Group. The idea is to have Wildlife Wardens in every Teignbridge Parish who can help their local nature in a wide variety of ways - through promoting wildlife gardening, recording local wildlife, improving local habitats, working with clubs and schools, keeping an eye on planning applications and development and more! ACT’s Wildlife Warden Scheme would not be possible without the generous assistance of: Devon Environment Foundation; Teign Energy Communities’ Community Fund; Cllr Jackie Hook’s DCC Locality Fund; Dartmoor National Park Authority; the Nineveh Trust; anonymous donors. Many thanks to all.  Devon Wildlife Warden Podcast – Wildlife Warden News and Updates (wordpress.com)  Links referenced in episode:   ELM Wildlife Hedgehog Rescue & Rehabilitation | Newton Abbot | Facebook  This podcast was written, presented and produced by Emily Marbaix. • S2 Ep 7: Regenerative Farming
In this episode I'll be throwing the spotlight on regenerative farming. What is it and does it offer a potential solution for the future of food production whilst still supporting our environment? Later on, I’ll be speaking to Mark Own from Challacombe farm on Dartmoor. This square mile of moorland has been certified as the worlds first regenerative farm and offers an interesting insight into the potential of this method of farming. Carrying on from new bits last month, I will also be bringing you plant of the month – what to look out for in August as well as learning a bird song together, and of course the latest news and updates from the wildlife warden scheme.
