  • Fungie the Dolphin & Dingle as told by Jamie Ó Flannúra
Fungie was a bottleneck dolphin who lived in Dingle Harbour for nearly 40 years and took Ireland by solar flare with his gregarious habit of coming right up to boats to say hello! Fungie brought a lot of tourism and business to Dingle and even folk who went to him for his supposed healing powers, until he vanished in 2020. So while we was down there in Dingle for Paddys Day we met Jamie Ó Flannúra, who's seen and worked alongside Fungie all his life on the Dingle boats.Follow Jamie: instagram.com/jamie_flanninstagram.com/dingleseasafariIf you want to support this podcast you can buy me a coffee! buymeacoffee.com/weirdirelandFollow Weird Ireland: instagram.com/weird.irelandtiktok.com/@weirdirelandyoutube.com/@weirdlyirelandWeird Ireland: An Unofficial Guide to the Island is out now Or you can order it online hereEmail:[email protected]
