  • Overcoming Gym Anxiety and New Year Resolutions to Appease the Gods
Meghan and Jennifer had a chance to sit down with Adelade LaFontaine of AGM Health Fitness for a chat about gym culture and overcoming the obstacles to getting started on a fitness journey, and much more. Adelade is an inspiring and talented Certified Personal Trainer and Behavior Change Specialist who specializes in helping women overcome gym anxiety and start their strength training journey using a holistic, beginner-friendly approach. She meets you where you are, without intense, overwhelming programs, and she is a joy not only to talk to but to train with and learn from. For over a decade, I struggled with yo-yo dieting and exercising. I only saw exercise as something you did to lose weight, which made it very frustrating and impossible to stick to. Now, as a woman over 35, I've realized the latest diet trend and intense workout plans are not the way to build gym confidence and consistency needed to reach your goals and actually make lasting change.  The editing of this episode is a bit wonky because we were recording during a snowstorm so the internet was a bit unstable but its still a great episode and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it! werecrazycreative.com @were.crazy.creative.podcast @jenniferjunechapman @author.m.redmile https://agmhealthfitness.com @agmhealthfitness
