Fear, being told it was “just your imagination,” religious beliefs, overwhelming experiences, or simply realizing that other people weren’t experiencing the world the same way you were can all change how much we allow ourselves to notice.
We’ll also talk about what it can look like when those abilities begin resurfacing later in life and how to reconnect without trying to force everything back open at once.

And then somewhere along the way… it stopped.
In this episode, I’m exploring 10 signs you may have blocked or shut down your psychic abilities as a child and why this happens more often than we realize.
Sometimes it’s fear. Sometimes we’re told it’s our imagination. Sometimes an experience scares us, or we realize the people around us don’t understand what we’re experiencing, so we learn to ignore it.
We’ll also talk about what can happen when those abilities begin resurfacing later in life during a spiritual awakening or mediumship development, and how you can start reconnecting with them without forcing the process.
And one important reminder: having a dream, knowing, or premonition before something happens does not mean you caused it. Sometimes the fear surrounding an experience is exactly what made us shut the door in the first place.

Inspired by a recent conversation with a client who realized she had a deep fear of being labelled “crazy,” Tabs shares how watching intuitive family members be dismissed, questioned, or told they had an overactive imagination can create beliefs we carry for years without realizing it.
Tabs also shares her own realization that she had been avoiding another label: witch. Where did that fear come from? And how much of what we associate with words like crazy, witch, weird, or psychic actually comes from family, culture, history, movies, and the stories we've been taught?
This episode is about recognizing the labels you may still be afraid of, questioning where those fears came from, and deciding whether they still deserve a place in your life.
Because sometimes what holds us back from trusting our intuition isn't the connection itself.
