In this episode, I'm joined by Lurch and we talk about the 2026 Indian Roadmaster that was just added to the Law Abiding Biker stable.  This isn't my first time in the saddle of an Indian. Long-time viewers of my YouTube Channel will remember I ran a Pursuit PowerPlus for about a year, followed by a loaned 2025 Indian Roadmaster PowerPlus last fall, a bike I still have on hand. Both of those were loaner relationships, which is exactly why this 2026 Roadmaster means something different: it's the first Indian Motorcycle that's actually mine. I've also attended multiple Indian Motorcycle press events to test ride and review other motorcycles and those are also on my YouTube Channel.

True to form, I wasted no time getting the rider triangle set up before the bike's even been started. First up was pulling the reflectors — step one on basically every bike that rolls into my shop. From there:
Ciro drink holder — available in black or chrome, installed here using the perch mount (swapping the factory half-clamp for hardware and a ball head), with a universal bar mount option also available for those who don't want to swap the factory clamp bolts.
Biker Gripper phone mount — my own cell phone mount, made in the USA and sold exclusively through the Law Abiding Biker Store. It's rated for 18 lbs of grip strength, needs no proprietary case, fits the largest of smartphones out there, has built-in vibration dampening, and switches between vertical and horizontal on the fly. I'm running the perch-mount version on this bike, with universal bar mount options also available.
Figurati magnetic engine oil dipstick — going on right away. The Law Abiding Biker Store is the top reseller of these in North America, and for good reason: a 2,000-gauss magnet on the tip pulls ferrous metal and debris out of the oil that a filter alone won't catch, so I can pull it anytime and check what's happening inside the motor. This is episode 2 of 2.  We take a look back at Ryan's 30 year law enforcement career.  Ryan retired from the Yakima Police Department last July and is now working full time at Law Abiding Biker.  Ryan's path into law enforcement didn't start with a trooper's badge. He began in 1994 as a Reserve Sheriff's Deputy for Yakima County. In 1995 he moved to the Yakima County Department of Security, working courthouse law enforcement duties. On December 11, 1995, he was hired by the Washington State Patrol, graduated the WSP Academy, and was commissioned as a Trooper in July 1996.
At the Washington State Patrol Ryan performed normal trooper duties, but also was a Serious Highway Crime Apprehension Team (SHCAT) member, K9 handler, and K9 instuctor.

In April of 2006 Ryan lateral transferred to the Yakima Police Department where he spent the majority of his law enforcement career.  In addition to routine patrol officer duties Ryan was a Police Training Officer (PTO), Narcotics K9 handler, Pro Act Team undercover officer, Gang Team member, Safe Streets Task Force Detective, Motors officer, and Motors Instructor.

Across his career, Ryan was voted Officer of the Year by his own squad three times in 2008, 2014, and 2016. He received a Yakima PD commendation in 2008 for going above and beyond for a house fire victim, and recognition the same year for the apprehension of two assault suspects from a 2004 shooting. He was recognized by the DEA (2004) for contributions to drug law enforcement, by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington (2005) for the large-scale "Operation No Mas" investigation, and by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (2007) for "Operation Intolerance." Over the course of his career, he also authored and executed numerous search warrants.
Ryan retired from law enforcement on July 31, 2025, after thirty years of service across multipleWashington agencies. He's now focused full-time on Law Abiding Biker, the motorcycle media branded store he built alongside his law enforcement career.

Nothing is being discontinued. The original mid-frame mounts, top mounts, and heat deflector mounts are all still available and still the right choice for a lot of riders — it just depends on what gear you're running. If a single SAE port is all you need, those original models are solid.
I ran a single mid-frame mount for years using a Gerbing SAE-to-barrel plug conversion cord from the Law Abiding Biker Store to power my heated gear. It works great. But as you'll see below, the new models open up options that make it hard to go back.
One important note: if your bike has heat deflectors, you need the heat deflector mount — not the standard mid-frame. Both are available in the store with full fitment information.

Think through your setup before ordering:
Single port, just need to tender and occasionally run one accessory? Original models or the new single heated panels work great.
Want dedicated heated gear plug AND a free SAE port? Mid-frame heated panel or top mount single heated panel.
Riding two-up with a passenger who also runs heated gear? Dual heated panel top mount.
Want maximum SAE flexibility with conversion options? Double top mount.
Softail? Coil mount or tank mount depending on your year.
Heat deflectors? Make sure you get the heat deflector mount — it's in the store.
For pre-2024 Harleys without factory accessory barrel plugs, LAB carries the conversion cord that lets you connect directly to the battery. You're covered regardless of year.
