  • All change on the telly - Channel 5 to show three tournaments in 2026
Hello everyone - this may be radio, but I've got my eyes on the telly in this new broadcast. Channel 5 have won the rights to show snooker from the main tour next year - confirming my reports - with the Players Championship, Tour Championship and British Open to be broadcast on the channel in 2026.I'll reflect on the news and speculate over possible coverage on Channel 5 to come. I'll also talk about the brilliant way ITV have covered the sport in recent times. Plus, why you shouldn't rule out ITV still showing snooker in 2026.Keep your feedback and your snooker thoughts coming to me please - tweet me @RadioSnooker or email [email protected]

  • LIVE SNOOKER 25-26! Confusion over broadcasting on day one of season
Snooker is back! We may have just had the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. In the UK, it feels like living in an oven. But nothing can stop the beautiful table game bursting back into our lives.Fans have been frustrated on day one of the new season however by confusion over broadcasting arrangements. I can now tell you that the action from the Wuhan Open qualifiers is on the WST Play service.I'm going to both sides this one. It's not very impressive frankly. It should be smoother when this. When events are advertised as being on one platform, fans are entitled to expect it being on there. However, let's remember the bigger picture and how lucky we are as snooker lovers to be able to see so much action. There's some bonus commentary for you here from a black ball finish and I get my beloved vidiprinter out. Keep your feedback and your thoughts coming - tweet me @RadioSnooker or email [email protected]

  • Snooker is back! Welcome to 25-26 season
Hello everyone. Snooker doesn't really go away any more if we're honest, but after a break on the main tour the action begins again this weekend.Get your diaries out - paper in my case of course - as I take a look at the tournaments on the way in the coming months.I'm going to need your help this summer, I really am. I can't beg - that's too undignified. But I can certainly ask, pretty please, that you send me some correspondence. You can do so via Twitter to @RadioSnooker or by email to [email protected]
