Small Town Murder

This week, in Simsbury, Connecticut, a very successful woman is found dead on a bike path where she jogs, leading to the initial theory that she was hit by a car. But those theories quickly disappear, when a single stab wound is found, directly to her heart. It's a giant mystery, with no real suspects. But out of nowhere, a man walks into a police station, to make a full confession. Police don't think he's the murderer, and let him go. But was he telling the truth?? More investigating answers all questions, except one... Why???
 
Along the way, we find out that we have no idea where the various Connecticut colleges are located, that poetry may not be the best way to introduce a sex offender to the neighborhood, and that if someone confesses to murder, and shows you a bloody glove, maybe you should believe them!!

Until they discover her husband's secret life, as a BDSM dungeon master, running kinky sex parties out of the basement of his business. He also has 2 girlfirends, and an entire double life, complete with plans for a live-in threesome relationship. But does that mean he's a murderer??
 
Along the way, we find out that we can't tell if some bands aren't famous, or if we're just too old to know who they are, that you really need to be careful who you bring to be your murder helper, and that wanting to keep women as sex slaves doesn't automatically make you a murderer, but it doesn't help!!

This somehow leads to a bad seed of a person, who was raised by a criminal in a terrible household, and had a dream of joining the mafia, even drawing up a price list for future jobs. This young menace, and his moronic accomplices attempt to pull off a crime spree, but end up just looking like remorseless monsters!!
 
Along the way, we find out that it's hard to get a late night pizza delivered to a rural area, that stores full of dangerous weapons should always have alarms on the windows, and that maybe you shouldn't write songs about murder, if you're planning to actually murder people!!
