  • Episode 172 - NFB Washington Seminar, You Got Til the End of This Hot Dog To Convince Me!
It’s an all new That Real Blind Tech Show with Allison, Brian, and David.   We kick things off discussing the fascinating article about a Gaming Accessibility Advocate that may have never actually existed!   Next we discuss some guys who started a scam and learned the hard way that it is probably not a good idea to call the people you are pretending to actually be!   A company called Zulu has released an iPad Death case  that allows you to take all your secrets with you to the grave.   Amazon is rumored to be unveiling Conversational Alexa on February 26th.   The conversation then moves to discussing the battery life in Smart Glasses and what this means for the future of Smart Glasses.   The Icon Factory has released a new social Media app called Tapestry.   We then tackle the latest in A.I. DeepSeek, and our thoughts about using an A.I coming from China. If a certain Senator has his way using DeepSeek will land you in the slammer! No surprise as it has already been discovered that DeepSeek is sending its users information to Chinese government servers. If you are not going to trust an A.I coming from China, how about one coming from France?   How odd, Google’s Super Bowl Gemini commercial shows off what A.I. does best, hallucinating.   Don’t expect Apple Glasses any time soon.   David then fills us in about his NFB D.C. experience meeting with politicians to make blind and low vision people lives better. Oh, what a nice guy.   Brian then discusses his experience getting his guide dog Wesley’s vaccination records updated with the airlines.   And it’s more of Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading.   To contact That Real Blind Tech Show, you can email us at [email protected], join our Facebook Group That Real Blind Tech Show, join It’s an all new That Real Blind Tech Show with Allison, Brian, and David. Not to worry as they are also up to their usual antics as well.   They start things off discussing what could already be the story of the year. We shit you not, but half of Americans carry around a spare pair of underwear! Which then leads to the questions all listeners have always had about the Hosts of That Real Blind Tech Show, Tightey Whiteys or Boxers?   We then move on to a serious topic and discuss how the New Orleans terrorist used the Meta Frames to plan part of his attack, and what this could mean for the development of technology that could assist people with disabilities.   We then discuss OKO moving to a subscription base for their service. Will you subscribe to it?   Next up we discuss the fun ride a man had in a Waymo self driving car.   AccessiBe finally has to face the music as the FTC has hit them with a million dollar fine.   Then it is on to our review of CES 2025. The first product we discuss is a new laptop from Lenovo that can grow, yes grow. While none of us see a lot of use in a laptop that can grow, the anger Solar Beach Umbrella and Power Packed Cooler could be in some of our future’s. Razer is coming out with a new gaming chair the Arielle for those hard core gamers who suffer from Ass sweat! With all the robots at CES, we discuss the one that won the prize for cutest robot. HumanPod Ear buds are the latest exciting wearable, but will they be accessible? The roboRock Saros Vacuum will be able to pick up laundry and other stuff lying around the house. Schlage is coming out with a new Smart Door Lock that you will be able to unlock with your palm. Tapo is coming out with a Smart door Lock with a year of battery power. It’s an all new That Real Blind Tech Show, and just in time for your holiday shopping, Brian is flying solo with a demo of Innosearch.ai, a site that is revolutionizing online shopping for the blind. This site is so awesome you will end up spending money you don’t have! Ok, we do not recommend you spend money you don’t have, but we do recommend that you listen to this amazing demo of Innosearch.ai.   Brian walks you through the layout of the site. You get a sales and most popular products section. Brian then does a few searches and walks you through navigate the search results, the product pages, and the unique Innosearch A.I. feature which will give you tons of information of products that you will not get from mainstream retailer shopping sites, well not all mainstream shopping websites.   Brian then takes you through adding a product to your cart, and the checkout process.   Now while this site has a lot of promise, the first time checkout as you will hear was not the smoothest of experiences, and can be improved.   Brian then walks you through a search for Bose Noise Canceling Headphones, Purina Lamb and Rice Dog food, and Scottevest clothing.   Next Brian takes you through the booking a flight option. Unfortunately, due to the lack of filter options and every element being labeled as a heading this searching for flights is not ready for primetime. Hopefully with more design this could eventually be a great option for booking flights.   To contact That Real Blind Tech Show, you can email us at ThatRealBlindTech It’s an all new That Real Blind Tech Show, and just in time for your holiday shopping, Brian is flying solo with a demo of Innosearch.ai, a site that is revolutionizing online shopping for the blind.
