Tour of Flanders Pro Bikes But Which Is Better?!

    02/04/2026 | 24 mins.
Thanks to Feedback Sports for sponsoring this video https://feedbacksports.com/

In this week’s episode of the BikeRadar podcast, Jack Luke joins Simon von Bromley to cover the big cycling tech stories of the week.

Cycling’s Holy Week is nearly upon us, and with that in mind, Jack and Simon have delved deep into the BikeRadar archive to check out what a Tour of Flanders bike looked like 10 years ago – and how it compares to a modern one.

Following that, we preview what bike tech we expect to see at this year’s Ronde and why we shouldn’t expect the kind of outlandish bike mods we often see at Paris-Roubaix.

This week’s news in brief covers the new 38 and 42mm Vittoria Corsa Pro Control tyres, Tadej Pogačar’s Milan-San Remo skinsuit auction and our pick of the latest Lidl cycling deals.

Finally, we end the pod with our rant of the week, in which Simon explains why he thinks more roadies should be using tubeless tyre inserts – and why they could save your life one day.

    New Aero Canyon Endurace LEAKED!

    27/03/2026 | 30 mins.
In this week’s episode of the BikeRadar podcast, Jack Luke joins Simon von Bromley to cover the big cycling tech stories of the week.

We kick things off with the news that a new aero-optimised Canyon Endurace has been spotted in the wild, and we think Mathieu van der Poel will be riding it at this year’s Paris-Roubaix.

Following that, Jack and Simon discuss Pirelli’s new ‘fastest-ever’ road bike tyres (and their eye-watering price), Roval’s new Terra Aero CLX gravel wheels, an interview with Panda Podium’s Joe Whittingham, and the news that Cannondale is leaving its UK distributor, Saddleback, to return to a direct-to-dealer model.

For our Rant of the Week, Simon details why, in his opinion, anyone shopping for a new gravel bike should disregard anything that doesn’t have clearance for 50mm or larger tyres. The hype surrounding XC mountain bike tyres for gravel is real, he says, and you don’t want to miss out on the trend.

We then finish up with last week’s top story, which was the news that Factor has partnered with Bugatti to produce an outrageous custom aero bike. Is it a cool bit of tech or just a bit naff? As always, let us know what you think in the comments.

Has The Crankset Saga Broken Shimano's Reputation?

    20/03/2026 | 30 mins.
In this week’s episode of the BikeRadar podcast, Jack and Simon cover the news that Shimano faces an $11.5m penalty to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, over its handling of crankset failures between 2013 and 2022.

After a quick refresh on the topic, the duo discuss whether this is the end of the story, and whether Shimano’s reputation has been damaged by its belated recall.

For our Rant of the Week, Jack tackles an Instagram sketch targeting bike mechanics, by comedian Dave Durkin. Unfortunately for those in the bike industry, it hits uncomfortably close to home.

Lastly, Jack and Simon take a look back at the top story on BikeRadar last week – an excellent feature from colleague Warren Rossiter, on titanium’s resurgence in popularity as a material for bike frames.

The BIG problem with the CAAD14

    13/03/2026 | 34 mins.
In this week's episode of the BikeRadar Podcast, Jack and Simon kick things off with the launch of the new Cannondale CAAD14, where they discuss the welcome return to a more traditional aluminium frame design, and the eye-watering £7,500 / $7,499 / €7,499 price of the top-spec model.

Next, with Continental launching a new 35mm GP5000 S TR and 30mm TT tyre, the pair discuss whether even wider tyres set to become the new normal in pro racing.

In Rant of the Week, they tackle the prickly issue of their flawless dress sense, before wrapping up with an overview of Wheeltop’s groupsets – and why these cheaper, highly programmable drivetrains could shake up the dominance of Shimano and SRAM.

Shimano Dura-Ace Is Coming 🔥 Our Predictions

    06/03/2026 | 43 mins.
With the first confirmed sighting of a next-generation Shimano Dura-Ace product in the wild, Jack and Simon look ahead at everything we know about R9300 – and what the pair want to see from the Japanese giant’s top-tier road bike groupset.

They then move onto a summary of the key tech news so far from this year’s Spring Classics, including a (subtly) new Canyon Aeroad.

This week’s episode is rounded out with Rant of the Week, which pours scorn on brands who get one simple thing wrong when they launch products, before covering what the worst proprietary standards in road cycling.
