We were privileged to speak with Rod Blake who began his career with Geelong in 1971, after being recruited from Inverleigh in the Geelong and District Football League. Rod’s career at Kardinia Park stretched to 1983, reaching 176 games in the hoops; booting 113 goals along the way. • Episode 17 2024 - Paul Lynch
Recruited from Alvie, outside Colac, Paul Lynch played 62 games for Geelong and would have undoubtedly played many more were it not for a succession of injuries. With a capacity to win his own ball, along with silky smooth disposal skills, Lynch was a delight to watch when in full flight. In this episode of The Cats' Whiskers, Paul Lynch talks extensively about his time at the elite level along with reflecting on his outstanding contribution to local Geelong and Colac football as both a player and coach.

  • Episode 16 2024 - Marc Woolnough
Following a recent catch-up with Michael Woolnough - a man who graced the wings of Kardinia Park between 1971 and ‘78 - we were fortunate to be joined by his son Marc, a player who had two cracks at Geelong around the turn of the century. At the time there was good reason to believe that we had an outstanding, 200-game player in our midst, however, sadly, a succession of serious injuries cruelly limited Marc’s time at Kardinia Park to six games. Listen to this week's episode as this impressive man tells his story to a panel comprised of Cats' Whiskers debutant Craig Blick and regulars Mark Brunger and Wes Cusworth.
