In this episode of the Goosed.ie Podcast, I’m joined by Kris O’Shea, of Olas, the startup building an open, blockchain-powered protocol to rebuild trust in media — and rewire how quality information is funded, verified, and rewarded.
We get into:
📰 Why trust in media is broken — and how it got this way
🧠 How Olas uses decentralised identity, staking, and prediction markets to incentivise truth over clicks
💸 The radical economics of DeKnow: micropayments, matched funding, and writer accountability
🌍 Why this isn’t just about journalism — it’s about protecting democracy and global progress
If you're into blockchain, media, or just tired of trying to figure out what’s true online — this episode is for you.

On this episode of the Goosed.ie Podcast, we go behind the headset with Catherine O'Doherty and Charles Lonjaret from Sia Partners, the global consultancy co-creating a world-first VR training experience with Chartered Accountants Ireland.

We dive into:
🧠 Why traditional training struggles to teach complex judgement-based skills
🎮 How immersive, game-based VR is outperforming classroom and e-learning models
⚖️ Why professional scepticism is more important than ever in an age of disruption
📚 What this means for the future of learning in industries like finance, law, healthcare, and more

If you're curious about the future of professional education, or how immersive tech is moving beyond hype into real impact, this one’s unmissable.

In this episode of the Goosed Podcast, we sit down with Shelley Cowan, affectionately known as The Purple Lady—a powerhouse advocate creating real change in the world of accessibility.
Shelley shares her journey and the origin stories behind:
JustUs – a not-for-profit helping adults with disabilities enjoy safe, inclusive social lives,
TravelEase – highlighting the best in hospitality for disabled travelers,
Access Avenue – working with businesses to improve accessibility standards from the ground up.

We talk about the hidden truths of ableism, the shocking fact that more hotels are pet-accessible than disability-accessible, and why inclusion shouldn't be an afterthought. Shelley is living proof that passion, empathy, and action can reshape the world.

On this episode of the Goosed.ie Podcast, I’m joined by Scott Ashmore, co-founder of Shuttle, the fintech startup on a mission to modernise how startups raise money — and how everyday people can get involved in the investment world.
