In the city of Rochester we celebrate Pride Month in July, and to do that we covered two bands that we feel are very important in regards to not just LGBT visibility but punk and hardcore; Dicks and Big Boys. Both hailing from Austin TX, we feel they've flown under the radar for the new generation and they deserve the spotlight back on them again.

After a hectic day of rocking and Internet Hardcore Discourse™ we sit down to discuss a beloved and still influential band from the west coast, Operation Ivy. The 924 Gilman luminaries brought an interesting sound to the era of youth crew, crossover and thrash metal were reigning supreme but the band ended as quickly as it started. Despite this they left a lasting impact on punk rock and we figured it was time to cover it. Might have to do an episode on Two Tone soon, let us know if you want us to pick it up!
