  • Clara Crowley and Siofra Patwell on Ballinascarthy camogie rise
    ON THIS week's podcast, we are joined by Ballinascarthy camogie players Clara Crowley and Siofra Patwell after the club won their second county title-in-a-row.After winning the Premier Junior Camogie Championship title in 2024, they followed it up with an Intermediate Camogie Championship victory in 2025 after beating Sliabh Rua in the final.Bal will play second tier county camogie (premier intermediate) in 2026 joining fellow West Cork clubs Newcestown, Enniskeane and Clonakilty.Crowley and Patwell were also part of the Carbery camogie team that competed in the senior championship this year, emphasising their quality along with the rest of their teammates.Also on the show, we look back at an action-packed weekend as Ilen Rovers drew their Intermediate A Football Championship final against Ballinora, meaning a replay will be required.Bandon hurlers are made to wait for their county final to take place once again after Aghabullogue won their football final against Uibh Laoire.There were also county championship wins for Kilmacabea, Ibane Gaels and Glengarriff.All this and more on this week's Star Sport Podcast.   • Ilen Rovers v Ballinora preview
    ON THIS week's podcast, we look ahead to Ilen Rovers’ county Intermediate A Football Championship final against Ballinora this Sunday (1.30pm).Flor O’Driscoll’s side go into this decider unbeaten in the championship and will hope that form can take them to glory.Ilen have beaten Boherbue, St Vincent’s, Mitchelstown and Adrigole en route to the decider but are coming up against a Ballinora side who took out Gabriel Rangers and Kilmurry in the knockout stage.The West Cork club have had a great season and will want to finish on a high.Elsewhere, Carbery champions Kilmacabea and Ballinascarthy get their county campaigns underway this weekend.The U21 sides of Ibane Gaels and St Colum’s are in knockout action too in a busy period for sport, despite the winter nights coming.All this and more on this week's Star Sport Podcast.   • Kilbrittain captain Philip Wall on their county triumph
    ON THIS week's podcast, we chat to Kilbrittain captain Philip Wall as the club sealed a memorable county Premier Junior Hurling Championship win.The Black and Amber beat Glen Rovers 0-22 to 2-15 in what was a great performance from the West Cork club.The club won their first county hurling title in 15 years after a brilliant second-half display in particular.What’s more, they have a Munster JHC campaign to look forward to as they face either Kenmare Shamrocks of Kerry or Knockaderry from Limerick in November.For now though, they will rightfully bask in the glory after a superb victory.Also on the show, we talk about Ballinascarthy winning, not just one title but two on Sunday.Their hurlers won the Carbery JAHC after a 0-22 to 1-16 win over Kilbree while their camogie team completed back-to-back county titles with a 3-7 to 1-9 victory over Sliabh Rua.The camogie team will be in the second tier of county camogie in 2026 while the hurlers have a county championship to look forward to.We discuss Munster’s 31-14 win over Leinster in the United Rugby Championship too as Innishannon man Jack Crowley put in a starring display.All this and more on this week's Star Sport Podcast.
