  • July 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)
As Mars approaches Ketu in Leo, Saturn and Neptune station retrograde in close conjunction, signalling the potential collapse of major structures and the beginning of reform. We’ve already seen some major catastrophic events that reflect this combination. There are likely more to follow as Mars and Ketu edge closer together throughout July.Personally, this is a time of reinvention and breakthroughs. If you’re trying to hold onto the way things were, you’re ‘bucking the current’. Go with the flow with all of your might!Saturn’s retrograde with Neptune in Pisces urges surrender, while Mars and Ketu ignite more anger and destructive impulses. Managing these intense energies is tricky. One is asking you to let go, while the other asks you to take action. These two separate impulses do not line up comfortably with one another. And yet, we must all find ways to be okay with not knowing for sure if the action we take will reap the rewards we hope for.Yet, we must act, as attempting to sit on Mars right now will only lead to more problems. Yet still, try not to fall into the other extreme, where you end up overdoing it and causing a different set of problems. Use what Mars and Ketu are both good for; that is, getting rid of problems.Globally, however, we’re likely to see an escalation in attacks and the beginning of major problems. We may also see more extreme seismic activity that grabs the world’s attention, adding to the many volcanoes that have already been set off.At least we have Venus in Taurus to offer some sense of comfort while all of this is going on. Yet its conjunction with Uranus, exact on July 4, may bring disruption, especially for the U.S. birthday. Also, Venus in Taurus squares Mars in Leo, which means we are likely conflicted about anything we’re enjoying when we see so many shocking events.Later in the month, as Mars and Ketu get closer together, building in intensity all the while, Mercury stations retrograde on July 18, urging care in communication as emotions run high. The Sun then opposes Pluto on July 25 and adds further volatility, highlighting power struggles in governments, just as Mars and Ketu have reached their peak. Expect a major incident around this time or in the lead-up to it.Venus moves into Gemini by July 26, while Mars' shift into Virgo by July 27 brings continued pressure to systems that are just about ready to give in. That’s because Mars in Virgo opposes Saturn conjunct Neptune in Pisces, demanding more precise action to address the crumbling system.Total and utter reform is the only possible outcome. However, how we get there involves a longer and more winding road than we had imagined.

  • Aśvinī - The Swift One
Kishori joins me to discuss the first lunar mansion Aśvinī, which means ‘horse’, a symbol of its swiftness and drive. Courageous and sometimes a little impulsive, its ruling deities are the twin horsemen and physicians to the gods. Its swiftness is beneficial in sporting activities, as well as in anything that spikes adrenaline, while health and travel are my interests.

  • New Moon in Ārdrā
This lunar month begins with the New Moon in Gemini, in the intense lunar mansion of Ārdrā, conjunct Jupiter. There’s a strong desire for clarity, but a need to go within to find it. Mercury is in Cancer, exchanging signs with the Moon in Gemini. Communication may be more emotional, with instincts dictating decisions. As Mercury slows down and prepares to retrograde in July, we’re reminded of an important truth: No matter how rational we try to be, our feelings guide our thinking and decision-making.Rather than battling your emotions, use them to give voice to what you feel. Jupiter represents a knowing, exalted in Cancer, a feeling place, not Gemini. True knowing comes as a sense, a feeling, not a thought - that comes later.Jupiter is combust (close to the Sun's degree) for this New Moon in Gemini, so its clarity is easily drowned out by mental chatter. The truth lies within. When in doubt, feel it out.

  • Full Moon in Jyeṣṭhā
The Full Moon in Scorpio, in the lunar mansion Jyeṣṭhā, marks a powerful time of transformation. With Mars transiting Leo and conjunct Ketu, this Full Moon squares the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius, activating all fixed signs.Scorpio prepares you for what lies ahead. As Mars nears Ketu, some disruption is likely. The best advice? Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. This Full Moon, at the final degrees of Scorpio, ushers in endings, clearing space before the Moon enters Sagittarius. There is much to fear, but also much to hope for.Significant and lasting changes may unfold—some driven by dread, others offering a chance to overcome personal fears. This lunation intensifies the approaching Mars–Ketu conjunction and Mars' aspect to Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. Meanwhile, Saturn and Jupiter form an exact square, heightening tension between responsibility and idealism, creating a sense of sober anticipation. The ideal response is the middle path—the quiet centre between hope and fear. Booms and busts may follow, even if only in the mind. The zodiacal shift from Scorpio to Sagittarius represents the middle path. Let go of what clouds your judgment so that you can step into Sagittarius with a greater vision.

  • June 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)
Venus enters Aries on 31 May, and Mars moves from Cancer into Leo on 6 June, joining Ketu. These transits begin to heat things up, potentially triggering political and/or economic upheaval due to some sort of attack or natural disaster.Saturn and Neptune move closer together, indicating further destabilisation, perhaps because of a major attack and conflict indicated by Mars and Ketu. There’s likely some sense of disappointment and sadness that sweeps through the world. Whatever happens, the knock-on effect may lead to some necessary changes. The Mars-Ketu meeting in fiery Leo may result in a major attack on a world leader, for example. But it may also show a leader themselves starting an attack. Expect increased risks of water-related disasters, revolutions, terrorism, and cyber warfare. Rising summer temperatures could intensify both climatic events and violent incidents around the world. While this brings disruptions to the world beginning in June, because Mars moves into an opposition to Saturn and Neptune in August, the intensity doesn’t let up for some time. Yet, it also creates opportunities to reshape everything. This could lead to profound personal breakthroughs that allow you to see yourself and what you’re capable of in a whole new light.Despite the potential global turmoil, the next few months hold promise for renewal once the old makes way for the new.By mid-June, the Sun aligns with Mercury and Jupiter in Gemini, marking a period of more mental stimulation and excitability. Jupiter’s aspect to the north node in Aquarius increases this as well, fuelling more protests and maybe even a revolution. As outdated structures collapse, reflect carefully on what you wish to happen next.Once Jupiter makes its way to Cancer by October, it offers a more hopeful preview of what’s to come in 2026. Focus on making the most of your resources to build the life you truly want. If everything else is falling apart, why not take advantage of the flux and dream up something completely new?As Saturn and Neptune come together for the first time since 1989, it’s time to dream up a new reality, while being mindful of what was only ever going to be a fantasy. While it may begin to feel like a come down for some dream that is more obviously not possible from June, it lends itself to creating something from what is possible. The more you engage with what is, the more likely you’ll build something out of the ruins of what is no longer.
