Welcome to the Episode 108 Highlights Show of the Trail Running Ireland Podcast."Brave, full of heart, and always wanting more."Ronan Sharkey´s family were told in 1989 when he was born that he may not survive the next 48 hours.Due to Ronan´s Cerebral Palsy, his mam was told he would never ride a bike or take part in sports. He was told he had to go to a special school but he stayed against the odds in his local primary school. Teachers in secondary school said he wouldn´t pass their subjects but he did.As the years progressed, Ronan´s balance and skills improved, he got stronger and Ronan has gone out to conquer some of the hardest Trail Running Races in the country.
