When was the last time you felt like God might be speaking to you and you weren't sure if it was really Him? By the end of this episode, I think you're going to see yourself in Samuel's story- a young boy learning to hear God’s voice.
In this episode you'll walk away with:
Practical anchors for positioning yourself to actually hear His voice
The courage to find your “Elis” — the people who help you discern and say "that sounds like the Lord"
A simple, surrendered prayer that changes everything: "Speak, Lord, for your servant hears"
This Week's Invitation:
-Set aside intentional time each day this week to simply minister to the Lord — no agenda, no list, just presence and worship.
-Practice whispering the prayer: "Speak, Lord, for your servant hears." Sit quietly for even 5 minutes, listening for a nudge, a picture, a Scripture, or a name that comes to mind.
-Identify your Elis — who are the people in your life who help you discern God's voice? Reach out to one of them this week.
-Write down any moment recently when you sensed God might be speaking. Don't run past it. What is He saying to your heart?
Journal Prompts:
God, what have You been trying to say to me in this season that I may have run past or not recognized as Your voice?
What does the phrase "Speak, Lord, for your servant hears" bring up in me? Is there an area where I find it hard to fully surrender and listen?
Samuel grew and "none of his words fell to the ground." What does it look like for me to grow into someone who hears and carries God's words faithfully?
