  • 'Need to Lead' Podcast | Ep. 51 | Special Guest Interview: Lee Molloy
Today's episode of the podcast is a special one, as I had the pleasure of being joined by my twin brother Lee! Not only is he my twin brother and best mate - he's also the Need to Lead podcast's number one fan lol And as we move towards the end of this chapter, I wanted to bring him on to chat about his own leadership experiences What influenced him growing up, the challenges that have helped shape who he is today And what leadership advice he'd give to a younger Lee, or anyone else who's listening! Big thank you to Lee for coming on And I hope you enjoy listening, as much as I enjoyed making it. All the best Adam

  • 'Need to Lead' Podcast | Ep. 50 | John Wooden: Leadership Case Study No. 2
This weeks episode of the Need to Lead podcast is dedicated to a legend in sports leadership You've probably heard his name before, or seen some cool quotes from him - without really knowing what he done or why he's so well respected! John Wooden was the head coach of the UCLA Bruins basketball team from 1948-1975. During his tenure, he led the team to 12 NCAA championships in 10 years (including 7 in a row), Including four undefeated 30-0 seasons, and finished his coaching career with a crazy 81% win record in over 1,000 games! Aside from just making his team hard to beat, he was the kinda leader who built his people up to be better off the court too Unfortunately he died a few years back, but his teachings and legacy lives on. A lot of the stuff covered in here comes from the book 'Wooden on Leadership' so if you like this episode, definitely check the book out. Enjoy, hope it helps Adam

  • 'Need to Lead' Podcast | Ep. 49 | Rewarding the Wrong Behaviours
This weeks episode of the Need to Lead podcast is all about how we reward people for doing the wrong things ^yep, you read that right^ It doesn't make sense, I know But so much of the things you do as a leader can actually promote more of the 'wrong' actions in your people Instead of inspiring them to do the 'right' things And it's not just in business either... In your relationship, with children, friends and family... You might be rewarding what's wrong and punishing what's right - without even realising it! Enjoy the episode, hope it helps, Adam

  • 'Need to Lead' Podcast | Ep. 48 | When Strengths Become a Weakness
This week's episode of the Need to Lead Podcast is all about strengths and weaknesses I'm sure you're familiar with the whole idea of knowing your strengths and playing to them, while identifying your weakness and minimising them And 100%, and important part of progress and success will depend on recognising the areas that you are naturally 'great' (Like Messi dribbling a ball - unbelievable) BUT an important thing to keep in mind is that your strengths and weaknesses are not static - they can change based on the context you're in Hope this episode helps, and feel free to share it with anyone you think can benefit from it!
